We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison for our Oncology portfolio in Slovakia:
General summary
The Medical Science Liaison is responsible for building trustworthy partnerships with customers, meeting them on regular basis, organizing medical education events in cooperation with Medical Manager and implementing Medical Strategy of the assigned therapeutic area. The purpose of this role is to increase understanding and added value of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (J&J IM) portfolio, execute pre-launch and launch activities fully in line with medical strategy through value story discussion, proactive cross-functional internal cooperation and high level of engagement with external customers. An important part of the role is to provide internal and external scientific support, train internal staff to ensure highest standards of brand/therapy expertise in customer facing teams. Demonstrates transparent and constructive conversations to support the creation of trustworthy and collaborative working environment internally and externally, to show behavior that helps to strengthen J&J position as a company with high reputation and credibility.
Key responsibilities
Building strategic external partnerships with key stakeholders
Meet with customers on a regular basis through F2F visits, educational meetings, conferences etc.,
Gather Medical/experts´ insights and share them cross-functionally
Implement Medical strategy for assigned portfolio (new products and indications)
Increase understanding and added value of J&J IM portfolio to ensure that all the patients who benefit more from J&J IM products than from alternatives, will get them
Provide scientific support to internal and external customers in response to clinical interest
Support the sharing of knowledge to internal stakeholders e.g. through provision of trainings to help to ensure highest standards of brand/therapy expertise in customer facing teams.
Provide Medical insights around key brands and marketplace themes/trends etc. to SK MAF team, CVT to help optimize Medical brand/therapy strategy
Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration
Analyze and understand competitive landscape
Manage and maintain trustworthy partnership with Key Opinion Leaders
Deliver scientific and medical content
Act as J&J IM speaker externally in a case of need
Engage in constant dialogue to create value for patients, customers and J&J IM
Gather information to support the Market Access department (HEMAR) to ensure our products are presented in an appropriate way.
Compliance
Actively engage with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the necessary Codes of Practice and Laws governing the promotion and sale of medicines within Slovakia
Complete all compliance and medical-related trainings assigned.
Report his/her activities details in iConnect system according to the requirements.
Compliance with the regulations of clinical studies.
Ensure safety reporting requirements (timely AE/PQC reporting) as set in company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and appropriately managed when planning projects, developing materials, executing projects and contracting vendors.
Ensures HCC and legal requirements are fully understood, appropriately managed
Therapeutic Area knowledge
Conduct and review literature searches, analyze clinical papers, attend conferences, courses, and other events to be aware of the latest scientific and clinical advances in relevant therapy areas.
Attend courses and industry meetings, read industry publications, and discuss therapy area with colleagues to keep up to date with developments within the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical medicine.
Monitor competitor scientific activities to understand their ongoing strategies, as well as to assess their compliance with the Code of Practice.
Skills and competencies:
Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Nature Science university degree
Strength in research and interpretation of medical data
Scientific acumen and communication skills in order to be accepted by Leading Specialists in peer-to-peer relationship
High customer focus with an understanding of the importance of business results
Innovative, able to work in a matrix and changing environment
An open-minded collaborative mindset
High level of self-motivation, proactive attitude, sense of responsibility for customer needs, compliance and accountability
Strong in building personal relationships

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€32.700,00 - €53.360,00
