PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The mission of Medical Information is to contribute to maximizing patient benefits by providing appropriate medical information. To achieve this mission, the Medical Information Specialist collaborates with the Medical Information Manager   and other stakeholders to carry out all activities related to scientific and medical information communications with internal and external customers, based on agreed quality, time, and budget. They also provide customers with the latest information published in journals and other sources.

All relevant tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, related tools, and local regulations.

Additionally, the Medical Information Manager receives timely updates on the progress of medical information activities and resource planning and forecasting related to tasks.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY TASKS

1.    Collect medical/scientific information regarding company products and respond promptly to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders.

2.    Provide medical information on our products and act as the local main point of contact for medical information.

3.    Based on collected insights, create Local response document and FAQs for MBJ products for relevant stakeholders, including the call center and sales representatives.

4.    Manage external call centers and vendors for patient support programs.

5.    Acquire in-depth knowledge of specific therapeutic areas and manage knowledge. Additionally, provide updates on the latest scientific information (e.g., the latest information published in journals).

6.    Create and revise scientific and medical educational materials such as the "Proper Use Guide," "Interview Form," and "Kusuri-no-Shiori" for MBJ products.

7.    Create and revise patient materials for MBJ products.

8.    Discuss with the global team and execute projects to maximize product value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Report adverse events and product complaints to ensure local patient safety and quality. Conduct regular reviews of reports from the call center.

2.    Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations to protect the company's reputation and prevent allegations.

3.    Provide the company with up-to-date scientific information in response to internal requests.

4.    Drive awareness of medical information among internal stakeholders and external customers.

5.    Analyze medical information inquiries and prepare regular insight reports for internal stakeholders.

6.    Complete tasks requested by the manager in Japan and the Country Medical Director.

7.    Advance discussions and build consensus across the business and with external parties.

EDUCATION/LANGUAGES

·        Science/pharmacy degree preferred; other professional and/or advanced degrees considered, depending on relevance and years of experience.

·        Native level in Japanese.

·        Business level English skills and competency ( Business English level in both written and verbal in global competence ) .

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

·        A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical-related roles, the healthcare industry, or clinical experience.

·        Cross-functional communication skills.

·        Project management abilities and flexibility towards diverse tasks.

7.    MBJ 製品の患者向け資材を作成・改訂する。

8.    Global team と 製品価値拡大のため、ディスカッションを行い、プロジェクトを遂行する

業務責任:

1.    有害事象報告と製品苦情の報告を行い、ローカルの患者安全および品質を確保する。コールセンターからの定期的な報告のレビューを実施する。

2.    会社の評判を保護し、告発を防ぐために、すべての関連する内部および外部の規制に準拠する。

3.    内部のリクエストに応じて、会社に最新の科学情報を提供する。

4.    内部のステークホルダーおよび外部顧客に対して、医療情報の認知を促進する。

5.    医療情報の問い合わせを分析し、内部ステークホルダー向けに定期的なインサイトレポートを作成する。

6.    日本のマネージャーおよびメディカル本部長( Country Medical Director )からの要求されたタスクを完了する。

7.    ビジネス全体および外部関係者との間で議論を進め、合意を築く。
