The Position

Roche is embarking on an exciting new strategic chapter, expanding our footprint into the cardiometabolic therapeutic area, an area where you will play a pivotal role. We are looking for ambitious, growth-oriented professionals to join our Pipeline Acceleration Team to build the future of this therapeutic space. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping both our local and national strategy and will directly influence our clinical approach through high-impact collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders . This is a unique opportunity to join at the inception of a project with significant expansion potential; as the new area grows, you will have the ability to evolve your responsibilities, scale your impact, and grow your career alongside our team.

Purpose

Elevate the standard of care, long-term scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and researchers. This is a chance to define how we bring innovation to patients in the cardiometabolic space.

Objectives

Act as a key architect of our medical footprint : Adapt and refine the national strategy for your territory, ensuring regional medical excellence.

Gathering insights and identifying gaps, with a solid understanding of the environment and its evolution.

Shape the medical ecosystem : Identify and implement tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of patients and HCPs, positioning Roche at the forefront of the field.

Strategic Autonomy : Lead the regional medical strategy with the autonomy to influence national decision-making.

Reporting

Directly connected to the Pipeline Acceleration Team Lead, ensuring high visibility and strategic alignment.

Collaboration

You will be a core member of our Therapeutic Area Core team. Your voice will matter, you'll be a key participant in local strategic meetings, ensuring field insights directly inform our organizational roadmap.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Territory Medical Plan (TMP) Ownership : Beyond execution, you will take ownership of the design and implementation of your region's TMP. From evidence generation to medical education and clinical trial support, you are the strategic lead for your territory.

Understanding and monitoring the landscape , identifying gaps, and generating the insights needed to build and adapt our strategy.

Strategic Insight Generation : Proactively profile KOLs and centers to uncover new opportunities for scientific collaboration, turning complex data into actionable strategies.

Expert Knowledge Exchange : Serve as the scientific face of Roche. Lead high-level exchanges on our portfolio and research pipeline, providing expert insights on scientific queries.

Influence the medical landscape by identifying local evidence generation opportunities and supporting investigator-initiated studies (IIS), working closely with the Medical Managers.

Medical Leadership & Education : Champion scientific knowledge by organizing high-impact clinical sessions and presenting data at major congresses and symposiums.

Requirements and Competencies

Education : University degree in Health Sciences. (MBA/Post-graduate degrees are highly valued).

Experience : Proven track record in field medical roles, specifically within the cardiometabolic space (Obesity/Diabetes experience is a key asset).

Languages : High level of English proficiency.

Base : Madrid.

Competencies : Strategic analytical thinking, deep technical expertise, influencing skills to build consensus, cross-functional agility, and an unwavering commitment to patient outcomes.
