Job Purpose 

This senior individual contributor / lead role sits at the intersection of demand strategy, IBP excellence, and cross-GBU portfolio management. The role is critical in driving local BD product launches, senior level executive governances, supply chain performance, demand planning capability and intelligence, reducing volume volatility, and enabling data-driven decision-making across Sanofi's Greater China business.

 

Key Accountabilities

1. Executive Meeting Coordination & Governance

·        Coordinate and facilitate key executive-level forums including the Greater China Management Business Review (MBR) and China SWAT meetings, ensuring structured agendas, prepare high-quality executive presentations, dashboard, and actionable follow-ups

·        Serve as the central point of coordination between M&S, Commercial, Finance, and GBU leadership for executive governance cadences

2. IBP Process Standardisation, Optimisation & Digital Transformation

·        Lead the standardisation and continuous optimisation of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across Greater China, in alignment with Sanofi's global IBP framework (5-step cycle: Product Management Review, Demand Review, Supply Review, Integrated Reconciliation, MBR)

·        Drive digital initiatives to enhance IBP process efficiency and improve mean KPI performance (Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, MAPE, OTC, inventory levels)

·        Champion the adoption of AI-based forecasting tools and digital platforms within the IBP cycle

·        Lead root cause analysis and action plan to optimize significant key KPIs deviation for demand planning

3. Volume Volatility Management & Market Intelligence

·        Establish and continuously enhance processes and process controls (incl. knowledge and lessons learned) to manage the key drivers of volume volatility in the China market, including:

·        NRDL (National Reimbursement Drug List) listing/de-listing events

·        VBP (Volume-Based Procurement) tender cycles and outcomes

·        New product launches, end-to-end supply readiness and demand ramp-up planning

·        Build and maintain a structured market intelligence framework to anticipate policy changes, competitive dynamics, and market access events that impact demand

·        Develop scenario planning capabilities and risk mitigation playbooks for high-volatility events, ensuring proactive supply chain response

·        Launch product launches insightes and strategy framework

4. Cross-GBU Knowledge Management & Standardised Ways of Working

·        Enhance and standardise ways of working across all GBUs operating in Greater China (GenMed, SPC, Vaccines, and relevant Consumer Healthcare / Specialty Care franchises)

·        Build a knowledge-sharing infrastructure to capture best practices, lessons learned, and demand insights across GBUs

·        Drive capability building and upskilling within the demand planning community to ensure consistent application of tools, processes, and methodologies

·        Act as a centre of expertise for demand strategy, providing insights and recommendations to GBU supply chain business partners and local SC heads

5. Product Leadership for Local-to-Local BD products

·        Act as Product Leader for selected products for local BD products (local-to-local supply chains) supoorting GBU Senior demand lead

·        Lead China market new product launches, ensuring end-to-end supply readiness from demand planning through manufacturing, and distribution

·        Oversee E2E supply planning for local-to-local products, including:

·        Setting strategic vision and supply strategy for assigned product portfolio

·        Inventory policy optimization and stock coverage targets

·        Coordination with E&MS, SAN manufacturing sites, product planners

·        Managing supply constraints and communicating hard constraints to stakeholders

·        Ensuring alignment between local commercial plans and supply capabilities

·        Serve as the main point of contact between Greater China market teams and local manufacturing platforms for assigned products

·        Lead IBP process for this producs

About you

Experience 8–12 years in Supply Chain, with strong focus on Demand Planning, MS product strategy, IBP, or S&OP in a multinational pharmaceutical/FMCG environment; experience in product leadership or E2E supply planning highly preferred

Experience with leading of executive level business reviews and governance

Deep understanding of China healthcare policy dynamics (NRDL, VBP, provincial tenders, new product launch processes); familiarity with local manufacturing and China-for-China supply chains+

Proven track record in leading or optimising IBP/S&OP processes at market or regional level

Digital & Analytics    Proficiency in demand planning tools (Kinaxis, SAP APO/IBP); experience with AI/ML forecasting+

Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate across senior cross-functional stakeholders in China and at global level

Excellent written and verbal communication in both Mandarin and English; strong executive presentation skills

Education      Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
