DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a HEMA Lead Colombia located in Bogota Colombia.
The Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) Manager for Colombia is an essential role focused on driving market access strategies and value-based healthcare initiatives.
The HEMA Lead Colombia leads Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) strategy and execution for DePuy Synthes ensuring optimal reimbursement, access, and adoption of innovative orthopaedic solutions. The role is accountable for shaping value-based access strategies, engaging key external stakeholders, and enabling sustainable business performance aligned with Colombia and LATAM priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement Market Access Strategies: Execute innovative market access, health economics, and reimbursement strategies for key technologies in Colombia. Collaborate closely with the Commercial and Marketing teams.
Drive VBHC Strategy: Lead the execution of Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) strategies for strategic products and procedures, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
Analyze Insights: Provide analysis on macroeconomic trends, health economics, epidemiology, market access, and reimbursement, utilizing these insights to identify new business opportunities and enhance market positioning.
Engage Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Payers and Providers within the Southern Cluster healthcare landscape, clearly articulating value propositions to improve patient access.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Innovate and refine market access assessments and strategies to address significant local unmet needs and opportunities in the region.
Evaluate the reimbursement landscape and navigate market access challenges for new products and procedures within healthcare system.
Establishes a trust relationship with influencers and decision makers in reimbursement and technology adoption processes.
Create compelling health economics business cases that support the access and adoption of both new and existing technologies.
Engage proactively with external value management stakeholders to establish trust and facilitate technology adoption processes.
Support commercial strategies by identifying opportunities and tailoring actionable plans for diverse stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of value message.
Conduct comprehensive training sessions for internal and external stakeholders on technology-specific value propositions and health economics concepts.
Monitor execution against HEMA priorities and business objectives, ensuring alignment to agreed plans, milestones and governance expectations.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality, ethics and local regulatory requirements, consistent with HEMA standards.
This role may take on direct responsibility for a priority and strategic business at LATAM regional level, defined according to LATAM needs, ensuring HEMA strategy and execution align with business priorities and performance objectives.
Requirements and Skills:
Deep expertise in Colombia healthcare systems.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in Health Economics & Market Access.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a persuasive edge.
Proven ability to think creatively and strategically to fill market access gaps.
Strong collaboration skills with a proactive approach to engaging with stakeholders.
Familiarity with non-clinical stakeholders is desirable; experience with Medical Devices access projects is a plus.
Fluency in English is required
Willingness to travel nationally and regionally, including overnight stays.
Additional Desirable Capabilities:
Knowledge and practice in Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC).
Background in economic evaluation and healthcare modeling.
Qualifications:
Education: University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent; a Master’s degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related fields is highly regarded.
Experience: 5-10 years of related role experience in Health Economics & Market Access, showcasing the ability to deliver results independently.
