As Expert Data Science at our Finance Innovation and Operations Hub, you'll demonstrate deep technical expertise & drive complex model development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Drives model development of complex solutions using ML/deep learning and advanced statistical methods; selects appropriate techniques for the question/problem

Develops/improves data management techniques, algorithms, methods and quantitative approaches; extracts insight from structured and unstructured data

Applies external research methodologies to business problems and proposes scalable approaches

Produces actionable insights and communicates recommendations to stakeholders

Reporting of technical complaints/adverse events within 24 hours (where applicable); distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

What you need to bring to the role:

4–6 years in data science or analytics roles, delivering models in production

Consulting experience in Advanced Analytics is a plus

Fluent English is a must.

Proven experience with ML models (classification, regression, clustering) and forecasting

Strong programming (Python) and SQL experience

Exposure to big data tools (e.g., Spark, Dask) and cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks)

Experience building data pipelines and production-ready code (e.g., Airflow, MLflow)

Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

Advanced ML/AI techniques

Feature engineering & model optimization

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
