The Data Steward - SANITY Business Operations supports the execution of SANITY-related business processes by ensuring data quality, consistency and usability across key commercial domains. This role acts as a hands-on partner to business teams, enabling operational excellence and transparency in pipeline, portfolio, BD&L, and launch activities.
Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Data Quality & Governance
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data in SANITY across key business objects (e.g., Product Targets, BD Deals, Portfolio Projects). Proactively identify and resolve data issues using dashboards and reports.
Operational Process Support
Support the execution of business processes such as GPC preparation, BD&L governance steps, and forecasting cycles by maintaining high-quality data inputs and outputs.
Business Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholders across Platforms, BD&L, Launch Excellence, Countries and Regions to understand data needs, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with evolving processes.
Reporting & Insights
Maintain and enhance dashboards and reports that support transparency and decision-making. Provide insights to business teams based on data trends and quality indicators.
System Coordination
Monitor data flows between SANITY and other systems (e.g., SAP, GloRiA), ensuring correct transfer of data. Flag and follow up on interface issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
Documentation & Best Practices
Maintain clear documentation of data processes and standards. Promote adherence to governance guidelines and support onboarding of new users.
What you'll bring to the role:
Minimum Requirements:
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Management, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in business operations, data quality, or portfolio support roles, ideally within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SANITY and SAP and understanding data governance in a business context.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on operational execution.
Experience working in cross-functional and global teams.
Skills and Expertise
Solid understanding of commercial and portfolio processes in pharma or similar industries.
Strong coordination and project support skills, with the ability to work across development, commercial, and operations teams.
Experience supporting data-driven business processes such as forecasting, governance, and launch planning.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Personal Attributes
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in complex matrix organizations and manage diverse stakeholders.
Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to take initiative in driving operational improvements.
