The Data Management & Infrastructure Lead is expected to make Novartis China commercial data easy to consume – not only by people but further by AI , and continuously enrich it to ensure competitive advantage. Data Management & Governance· Lead the development and implementation of data management strategies, standards, policies, and procedures.· Establish and maintain data governance practices, including data ownership, stewardship, access controls, metadata management, and data quality standards.· Oversee data lifecycle management, including acquisition, storage, integration, usage, retention, and archiving.· Partner with business teams to define critical data elements, data definitions, and reporting standards.· Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, security, regulatory, and organizational requirements. Data Infrastructure & Architecture· Oversee the design, operation, and continuous improvement of data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, data lakes, cloud platforms, and integration pipelines.· Collaborate with IT team to ensure data platforms are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.· Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to improve data management and infrastructure capabilities.· Ensure high availability, performance, monitoring, and reliability of data systems. Data Integration & Quality· Lead efforts to continuously improve data quality, consistency, accuracy, and completeness across systems.· Oversee data integration processes across enterprise applications, external data sources, and analytics platforms.· Support the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and data exchange processes.· Implement monitoring and controls to detect and resolve data issues proactively.· Drive root cause analysis and remediation for recurring data integrity or system performance issues. Leadership & Stakeholder Management· Actively engage with international data team to improve global understanding to China data ecosystem and practices, drive discussions and alignments to make global data framework practical under China tech and regulation environment.· Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on data infrastructure, data governance, and data management priorities.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.· Lead planning, prioritization, and delivery of data management and infrastructure projects. Key Experience & Success Profile:· 8years or above work experiences in data management, infrastructure and relevant field.· Experience with cloud platforms including but not limited to AWS, Ali Cloud or other cloud platforms.· Experience with data platforms or tools including but not limited to Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Power BI/Qlik.· Knowledge of data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms.· Experience in data architecture, master data management, or enterprise data strategy.· Relevant certifications in cloud, data management, data governance, security, or project management.
