The Position
As a Cloud Engineer - Data Platforms, you will play a vital role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our search platform on AWS. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our enterprise search solution
Job Responsibilities
Work with the Cloud Devops Enterprise Search team to collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and external teams.
Focus on priorities, milestones and deliverables as per direction of the product management team.
Contribute to the Cloud Devops Enterprise Search team on technical implementations and decisions.
Work to meet SLAs on customer deployments in a global environment.
Be part of the technical solution team focusing on maintaining service since they are live by measuring and monitoring availability and overall system health and improving the reliability of the IT Infrastructure.
Collaborate with clients, other IT departments and managed service suppliers in the design and delivery of Cloud IT Solutions.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience in information technology environment (networking, infrastructure, database).
You will bring +5 years of relevant work experience in one or more multinational work environments (e.g. healthcare industry experience is a plus)
Technical Skills
Recent experience/exposure designing, implementing, operating infrastructure or designing hybrid multi cloud solutions in Public Cloud Platforms (AWS and Azure).
Experience with containers and serverless AWS services: EKS, Lambda, AWS ECR.
Cloud Networking experience with VPC subnets, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Network Firewall.
Application Networking experience with AWS API Gateway, NLB/ALB.
Experience with Grafana for Cloud observability.
DevOps Pipeline Automation: Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible.
Experience with Cloudformation, Terraform, Python.
Experience with FinOps for cloud cost optimization.
Experience with development of AI pipelines is preferable.
Additional Qualifications will be a plus
Preferred to be certified AWS Architect Professional/DevOps, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent working knowledge on AWS and Azure environments.
Knowledge of data visualization tools ( i.e. Tableau).
Experience with observability tools (i.e. ElasticSearch,)
Experience with modern tools in the Agile Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience with Version Control Systems (GitHub, Git, Stash/Bitbucket)
Experience with knowledge management systems ( i.e. Confluence, Google Docs).
Experience on development workflow ( i.e. JIRA)
