MSO BI Design – Sr. Associate
MSO Overview
The Marketing Science Operations (MSO) vertical serves as the operational backbone that ensures accurate, governed, and analytics‑ready marketing data across all digital channels. MSO enables MIO team to run self‑service analytics, generate insights, and execute campaigns reliably, with a focus on data readiness, governance, and scalable BI products.
Role Summary
The Sr. Associate – BI Design is a hands-on, mid-level design specialist responsible for translating business problems into intuitive, scalable, and decision‑ready BI experiences.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics, UI/UX design, and business storytelling, with ownership of dashboard design quality, KPI framing, and mockup-to-dashboard translation. The individual is expected to independently drive design workstreams while mentoring junior associates.
Key Responsibilities
1. BI Design & Experience Ownership
Translate business problems into intuitive, decision‑ready dashboard designs
Own end‑to‑end design lifecycle (wireframes >> mockups >> implementation alignment)
Apply advanced UI/UX principles to ensure clarity, usability, and adoption
Drive mockup quality, stakeholder walkthroughs, and final design sign-off readiness
2. KPI Framing & Analytical Structuring
Define and standardize KPIs, metric logic, and business definitions
Convert requirements into structured analytical frameworks and measurable outputs
Ensure consistency in KPI interpretation across dashboards and stakeholders
Contribute to business storytelling and insight structuring
3. Dashboard Development, QA & Delivery
Build/support complex dashboards and reports with advanced calculations
Perform data validation, QA, and UAT coordination
Ensure design intent is correctly translated into BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
Manage enhancements, fixes, and delivery tracking in agile workflows
4. Governance, Adoption & Capability Building
Monitor dashboard usage, performance, and user feedback
Enforce design standards, templates, and documentation practices
Drive continuous improvement in design quality and scalability
Mentor junior associates and contribute to team capability uplift
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or related field
4–6 years of experience in BI design, dashboarding, analytics, or visualization roles
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and storytelling
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Power BI / Tableau
Strong exposure to Figma / wireframing / design tools
Experience in KPI design, metric standardization, and analytical thinking
Ability to translate business problems into structured analytics outputs
Familiarity with data models (basic star schema understanding
