Tasks & Responsibilities

This role is part of the IT Marketing & Sales Customer Facing Excellence team, which delivers systems, applications, and digital solutions that improve customer experience, customer insights, and engagement across marketing and sales activities. You will work closely with both local and global stakeholders to support the Japan business and contribute to global initiatives.

As a Business Analyst, you will act as a trusted partner between business and IT. You will help business stakeholders identify opportunities, understand their needs, and translate those needs into technology solutions that deliver business value.

You will work closely with business teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring that priorities are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives. You will facilitate discussions between business and IT teams, support demand management activities, and help drive continuous process improvements.

You will be responsible for defining business requirements, features, and user stories, as well as supporting system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). In collaboration with internal IT teams, global product teams, and external vendors, you will help ensure that solutions are delivered successfully and meet business expectations.

You will also support the day-to-day operation of applications and services, including incident management, issue resolution, continuous improvement activities, reporting, and user support. A strong understanding of Marketing & Sales business processes and systems will help you identify improvement opportunities and provide effective support to users.

Using your business knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of technology, you will contribute throughout the solution lifecycle, helping ensure that systems and services are reliable, effective, and aligned with business needs.

In addition, you will participate in and occasionally lead projects and cross-functional initiatives that improve business processes, increase operational efficiency, and create value for the organization.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

・Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

・Experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Partner, or in a similar role.

・Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.

・Experience acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.

・Experience supporting and coordinating projects in a cross-functional environment.

・Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

・Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.

・Proven customer engagement and business partnering experience.

・Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

・Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

・Good understanding of Marketing & Sales business processes and business needs.

Technical Skills

・Knowledge and experience with CRM solutions such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

・Experience in business process analysis, requirements definition, and user story creation.

・Experience supporting system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

・Experience with application support, incident management, and continuous improvement activities.

・Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting.

・Understanding of system integration concepts and data flows.

Preferred Qualifications

・Experience with Veeva CRM.

・Experience with Salesforce Platform.

・Experience working in Agile project environments.

・Experience with Demand Management and Portfolio Management processes.

・Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.

・Knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS), such as Oracle or SQL Server.

・Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

・Experience working on global or regional projects.

・Understanding of Marketing & Sales systems and processes.
