Associate Director – SAP ERP Logistics and EWM
The Associate Director for SAP ERP Logistics and EWM ERP will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions and Logistics (LE-WM/LE-SHP) in a regulated pharmaceutical environment as well as leading an international team of persons in Taiwan, China, India, Spain and Germany. This role requires strong functional expertise in warehouse processes, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to ensure compliance with GxP and other regulatory requirements.
Your Role:
Leads the EWM and Logistics liaison, enablement and operations team, providing direction, coaching and day-to-day guidance.
Be involved in projects, share the team members who will execute the work, and verify their ability to support the project in maintaining an internal load sheet.
Collaborates closely with key internal teams (e.g., change and Release Management Team, security, architecture, platform, sector IT, business process owners as well as BTP and Development Team) to ensure coordinated delivery.
Builds strong relationships with sector contacts, key users and IT stakeholders, fostering trust, transparency and collaborative problem-solving.
Demonstrate cognitive and affective empathy; mentor and grow team members (2 targeted growth roles).
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Implementation
Gather and analyze business requirements related to warehousing, batch management, and serialization and share work in team as well as take yourself CRs/Projects
Enables a team member to design functional specifications for RF processes, inbound/outbound flows, replenishment, physical inventory, and storage control (POSC/LOSC)
Configure SAP EWM modules including Warehouse Structure, WOCR, Queue Determination, PPF actions, RF Framework, and Batch Management.
2. Integration & Technical Coordination :
Collaborate with SAP PP, QM, MM, TM, and external systems (e.g., WMS, MES) for seamless integration.
Work with ABAP/Technical teams on WRICEF developments (RF screens, enhancements, BADIs, IDOCs).
Support integration with automation systems like conveyors, ASRS, AGVs, and label printers
3. Business Support & Continuous Improvement : Provide L3 production support for global warehouses and conduct root-cause analysis of issues and implement corrective/preventive actions. Train key users and warehouse personnel on EWM processes
4. Change Coordination : Manage incoming changes: timelines, communications, costs, and reporting; ensure on-time, quality delivery.
Who You Are:
10+ years of experience in SAP LE/WM/EWM, with at least 3 full-cycle EWM implementation
Strong understanding of Process knowledge: Inbound/Outbound, Advanced Picking & Packing, Slotting & Rearrangement, Handling Unit Management, Yard Management (optional), Transportation Units, Resource & Task Management, Physical Inventory, RF Framework and Fiori apps, PPF actions, Wave Planning, PP Integration (PMR and delivery-based production), QM Integration, Stock migration, Sales and EHS/Label Management Integration.
Technical skills: Ability to design and validate functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments; basic ABAP debugging and HANA-based processes; experience with EWM monitoring tools (/SCWM/MON, /SCWM/QUEUE, /SCWM/ERPSTOCK).
