ABOUT THE ROLE
This role as Associate Director (Data Strategy) at Amgen plays a key part in execution of the Enterprise Data strategy roadmap in collaboration with the leadership for Data Foundation and Governance. The role requires to engage with Business functions and help in progressing with the data maturity journey at Amgen.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to defining and executing Enterprise Data strategy for Amgen
Engage with business functions to identify top data priorities, perform current state analysis, gap analysis and target state definition
Help in creation and execution of data strategy execution roadmap for Amgen
Drive Data maturity assessment (FAIR) across Amgen
Define and align the data capabilities roadmap required to deliver the data strategy goals
Identify business requirements and align the data strategy priorities accordingly
Identify advanced data capabilities required to deliver the data strategy
Define the value proposition and value realization framework for priority data initiatives
Work closely with Data architecture and data platforms & Engineering teams to create reference architecture for advanced data capabilities
Build strong partnership with Business and map value from data initiatives to business outcomes
Work with Business to operationalize the data capabilities roadmap through pilots and MVPs
Help operationalize framework for unstructured data management at Enterprise level
Identify opportunities and drive implementation of AI-driven interventions in data management lifecycle
Build partnership with AI strategy and contribute towards defining an Integrated Data and Analytics strategy
Bring in thought leadership to advance the Data strategy capability evolution
Build and promote culture of innovation in data management
Coach and mentor Data management professionals
Mandatory skills and qualifications :
16-20 years of experience post qualification.
14-17 years of relevant experience in data management
Strong expertise in defining and executing Data management strategy
Good exposure in defining Enterprise data strategy
Expertise in at least two core Data management capabilities such as Data Governance, Data quality and Master data management etc.
Exposure to unstructured data management
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Good experience in value articulation of data management initiatives
Exposure to complex stakeholder ecosystem
Preferred skills and qualification:
Experience in Pharma/Healthcare industries
Postgraduation/MBA especially in strategic management
