Work Environment & Schedule

We balance flexibility with in-person connection, averaging two days per week in the office for workshops, town halls, team meetings, and collaborative events.

Because we operate across global time zones, this role requires frequent availability during late afternoons and evenings (after 5:00 PM–6:00 PM).

Join our Partnering Digital Solutions team, a strategic group focused on maximizing partnership impact through digital and AI-enabled ecosystems to advance the Pharma and DIA Partnering business. We are at the forefront of innovation - building scalable data infrastructure, enabling intelligent workflows, and integrating advanced AI capabilities to accelerate decision-making and unlock business value.

Our work spans multiple high-impact initiatives, including AI-enabled partnering solutions, intelligent data products, workflow automation, and enterprise-scale data and AI integrations. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of AI-enabled partnering at Roche by operationalizing innovative capabilities that directly support strategic decisions across our global Partnering organization.

Responsibilities 

As an AI Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling and operationalizing AI and intelligence capabilities across the Partnering Digital Solutions ecosystem. You will work closely with product owners, data engineers, Data Scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to implement scalable AI-enabled workflows, integrations, automation solutions, and intelligent applications that support partnering operations and decision making.

This role combines AI enablement, integration engineering, workflow orchestration, cloud-native solution development, and operationalization of AI capabilities at enterprise scale. In addition, the role offers opportunities to contribute to modern web application development and user-facing AI experiences where needed.

You will be responsible for: 

AI Workflow & Solution Enablement 

Support the implementation and operationalization of AI-enabled solutions across partnering platforms and intelligence products.

Develop and integrate AI workflows that support automation, decision support, insights generation, and orchestration of AI-enabled capabilities across the partnering ecosystem.

System Integration & API Development 

Develop and maintain APIs and integration services that connect AI capabilities, enterprise platforms, and data ecosystems.

Enable seamless integration between internal platforms, external data sources, AI services, and workflow orchestration frameworks.

AI & Agent Integration: 

Support the integration of AI services, LLM-based applications, and agentic workflows into enterprise solutions and partnering processes.

Collaborate with AI and data teams to operationalize intelligent capabilities and scalable automation workflows.

Cloud-Native Solution Development 

Build and deploy scalable services and integrations using cloud-native technologies and AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and API-based architectures.

Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and Roche security standards

Data & Platform Integration 

Support integration of structured and unstructured data sources across partnering platforms, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Enable reliable data exchange and orchestration across internal and external systems. ● Frontend & User Experience Development (Bonus Capability)

Contribute to the development of modern web applications and user-facing AI experiences using technologies such as React or similar frontend frameworks. ○ Support creation of dashboards, AI assistants, intelligent workflows, and self-service analytics interfaces that improve usability and adoption.

Automation & Operational Efficiency 

Develop automation capabilities that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency across partnering activities.

Support monitoring, logging, and operational reliability of AI-enabled workflows and integrations.

MLOps & AI Operationalization 

Enable operationalization and lifecycle management of AI-enabled capabilities by contributing to deployment workflows, monitoring, orchestration, observability, and operational reliability of AI and LLM-based solutions.

Collaborate with AI, data, and architecture teams to support scalable AI services, model integrations, prompt management, workflow orchestration, and operational governance aligned with enterprise AI standards.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work in a cross-functional Agile environment and collaborate closely with product owners, data and AI teams, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders to

continuously improve platforms, workflows, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Contribute to evolving engineering practices, AI enablement standards, and operational best practices across PDS.

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

5+ years of experience in software engineering, integration engineering, platform engineering, or AI solution development.

Strong experience developing APIs and backend services using technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Node.js, or Java.

Experience integrating enterprise systems, cloud services, APIs, and data platforms.

Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, preferably AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, or API Gateway.

Experience with MLOps or LLMOps concepts including deployment, monitoring, orchestration, observability, and operational support of AI-enabled solutions.

Familiarity with AI operational frameworks, model lifecycle management, or cloud-native AI deployment patterns.

Exposure to AI gateways, prompt management, vector databases, or orchestration frameworks is a plus.

Strong understanding of system integration, scalability, reliability, and operational support.

Experience working with structured and unstructured data across multiple systems.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience operationalizing AI or ML-enabled workflows and applications.

Familiarity with LLM APIs, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks, or AI integration patterns.

Experience integrating AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise applications or workflows. Experience or exposure to modern frontend development using React or similar web frameworks.

Experience developing dashboards, intelligent user interfaces, or self-service analytics applications.

Familiarity with workflow orchestration, automation frameworks, or event-driven architectures. Understanding of enterprise authentication, authorization, and SSO integration.

Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or partnering/business development domains is a plus. Experience working in Agile product delivery environments.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 170,100.00 PLN - 315,900.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 15% subject to both individual and company performance.
