Intercontinental Hub Overview

The Intercontinental Hub (ICH) is part of Lilly’s International Business Unit (IBU) and represents a cluster of emerging and high-potential geographies including geographies with full-scale affiliate operations, distribution & promotion markets and hybrid partnership structures. These markets have complex environments that require deep technical expertise, agility and ability to work across different environments simultaneously. These markets represent close to 100 million people and are critical for expanding patient access and accelerating revenue growth globally.

Role Summary

The ICH Transformation Lead is a pivotal standing role within the ICX Office, responsible for orchestrating organizational change, ensuring execution accountability, and building the governance infrastructure that allows all ICX capabilities to perform at scale. Spanning both commercial and medical domains, this role drives efficiency, standardizes operating processes, and sustains the ICH target operating model across all affiliates. The role reports to the AVP, ICH Strategic Capabilities & Transformation and collaborates closely with GMs, Country Medical Heads, IBU functional leaders, and Global counterparts.‑‑

Basic Requirements

Education – Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred

10+ years’ of commercial business experience across sales, marketing or medical within the pharma industry

Strong project management skills with a bias for speed and execution; broad, cross-functional knowledge of key business processes: field team operations, business planning, brand planning

Demonstrated success in team culture-building across geographically distributed teams; international or multi-country experience required

English – business level required; Spanish and/or additional regional language preferred

Key Responsibilities

Business Transformation

Work with GMs, CMOs, and ICX Functional Leads to develop a transformation agenda aligned to key strategic pillars across ICH

Identify opportunities to drive reach and scale across ICH markets; develop key measures of success to track strategic pillars and monthly objectives

Establish a system of high accountability aligned with ICH productivity and execution goals

Contribute to affiliate and ICH strategy development as a cross-functional thought partner

Governance & Operating Model

Establish clear decision rights and governance rhythms across ICH affiliates; standardize IBU escalation and approval pathways

Define and embed the target ICH operating model; align resource allocation to strategic priorities and ensure transformation is sequenced and sustainable

Implement consistent KPIs and performance cadence across ICH; align governance with ambassador and CMO structures

Chair and coordinate key ICH governance meetings, including ICH Leadership Committee (LMC) and Medical Management Committee (MMC) as needed

Efficiency & Productivity

Identify and eliminate process duplication across markets; reduce reporting overhead and coordination friction

Streamline capability allocation using maturity data from the ICH capabilities assessment

Deliver on key productivity initiatives; facilitate affiliate and ICH business case capability development

Conduct external industry benchmarking and innovation practice reviews to inform continuous improvement

Team Lilly ICH Champion

Lead TEAM LILLY initiatives in collaboration with affiliate champions to enhance engagement and Pulse Survey results across ICH

Customize the TEAM LILLY Global/IBU campaign for the ICH context; build team identity and belonging across geographically distributed markets

Success Measures

Clear decision rights and governance rhythms established and operating across ICH affiliates

Measurable reduction in process duplication and reporting overhead across ICH

ICH transformation agenda tracked against defined strategic pillars and monthly objectives

Improved Team Lilly engagement scores across ICH affiliates
