The position

Looking for a strategic leadership role where you can shape and elevate Tax Services across markets while developing high-performing teams?

Join our Accounting-to-Reporting (A2R) Leadership Team in GBS Wrocław as Tax Services Team Manager, driving operational excellence, standardization, and innovation across direct and indirect tax services, while fostering a strong culture of development and continuous improvement.

Tasks & responsibilities

As a Tax Services Team Manager, you are responsible for:

Managing the professional service delivery of the team, as well as driving the continuous improvement of direct and indirect tax services, ensuring that accountabilities within the countries in scope are delivered accurately and on time.

Managing a Tax Services team within the Center Organization under the Stream Head, coordinating work preparation for tax compliance matters such as data gathering, reconciliations, and related checks.

Taking cross-functional responsibility for the management, preparation, and coordination of all direct and indirect tax activities for the countries in scope, including CIT, WHT, VAT, and Tax Accounting topics.

Proactively optimizing complex tax topics and supporting the development of standardized processes and procedures in the area of direct and indirect taxation.

Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of tax compliance data by monitoring activities and performing relevant controls, while guaranteeing compliance with applicable tax legislation and implementing new regulatory requirements.

Managing the training and development of employees, as well as relevant stakeholders within the GBS Center, promoting a consistent understanding of tax processes, responsibilities, and ways of working.

Supporting the standardization of processes and procedures in the area of direct and indirect taxation.

Acting as the key interface for internal GBS stakeholders and local business representatives, providing guidance on direct and indirect taxation matters and other tax-related topics, including tax technical expertise.

Guaranteeing compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations, including the implementation of new legal and regulatory requirements.

Following all company policies, procedures, and processes related to Finance, Taxation, IT, and other applicable areas.

About our future employee

You should speak English language min. on a C1 level. You have min. 5 years of professional experience in a tax consulting firm or a comparable position of an internationally operating company, preferably in a Shared Services environment.

Additionally, we are looking for: 

A master’s degree in finance and accountancy or similar with a tax focus

2+ years of people management experience

Broad taxation background and understanding of different professional and functional areas

Extensive knowledge of taxation laws, tax operations, and relevant tax reporting requirements

Cross-functional knowledge and expertise in finance and accounting

Distinct empathy, team spirit, accountability, intrapreneurship, and a high service orientation with customer centricity

Positive approach with ability to come up with ideas in our Speak-Up culture and actively participate in process optimization

Proven ability to capture complex issues in a solution-oriented working style

High quality awareness, resilience, and independence considering changing requirements

Excellent SAP know-how and working experience with the ERP system, preferably with SAP S4Hana

Ability to work in a diverse international environment
