Purpose of the role
As Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will lead a team of five planners and play a key role in ensuring reliable product supply, strengthening planning processes, and supporting strategic decision-making for the Solids manufacturing organization. You will combine people leadership, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and long-term planning to improve supply chain performance and help ensure the availability of medicines for patients worldwide.
For an experienced supply chain planning leader, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical planning function, shape site-level planning strategy, and make a direct impact on business performance and patient supply in a leading pharmaceutical company.
Reporting to the Director Supply Chain Management, you will be a member of both the Site Supply Chain Leadership Team and the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Solids Leadership Team, giving you direct exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence key business decisions.

The Center of Excellence for Supply Chain Management oversees Planning and Logistics activities for the Oss site and focuses on reliable supply, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Your Planning Team supports IPT Solids, the manufacturing organization responsible for producing and packaging solid oral dosage forms supplied to patients worldwide. IPT Solids works closely with Production, Packaging, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Engineering, and Weighing & Dispense, creating a dynamic environment where planning decisions have direct operational and business impact.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of five Supply Chain Planners while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and IPT leadership to develop and execute planning strategies aligned with business objectives.
Translate strategic objectives into effective short-, mid-, and long-term planning frameworks.
Develop and maintain long-term capacity, resource, and API planning strategies to support business needs, compliance expectations, product lifecycle changes, and future growth.
Lead scenario planning and risk management activities to ensure continuity of supply and mitigate potential disruptions.
Coordinate, monitor, and continuously improve end-to-end planning processes to ensure reliable supply, operational efficiency, and robust decision-making.
Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, rejects, and discards, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across Operations, Production, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Global Supply Chain, and external partners.
Represent the planning function within both the Site Supply Chain Leadership Team and the IPT Solids Leadership Team.
Drive alignment between local planning priorities and global supply chain objectives.
Independently lead strategic improvement initiatives and cross-functional supply chain projects.
Use data, analytics, and planning insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Contribute to the further professionalization of the planning organization, planning systems, and team capabilities.
Required Education, Experience and Competencies
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Planning, Master Planning, Demand Planning, or a related planning discipline within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with planning systems, ERP platforms, and data-driven decision-making; SAP / IBP experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with scenarios, risks, constraints, and competing priorities.
Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple organizational levels.
Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive, support, and adapt to change.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Preferred Experience and Competencies
Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, chemical, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
People leadership experience is highly preferred, ideally including direct people management and/or leadership of cross-functional planning or supply chain improvement initiatives.
