YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, monitors, and manages internal research and development projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Leads project planning activities, including resource allocation, staffing, and supply management, while overseeing subcontract management and progress reporting. Ensures that project outcomes meet technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost requirements. Monitors project performance and recommends necessary schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions to optimize efficiency. Collaborates with cross- functional teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle, ultimately driving successful R&D initiatives.

Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Responsibilities are within the Project/Program Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Main tasks:

Graphics lead for NPD / Re-Design for the product category

Ensure artwork consistency across category brand portfolio considering innovation & attractiveness, cost and sustainability as part of NPD / Re-design process

Ensure Master Design Files are fit for purpose for creation of MAW

Accountable for creation of brand packaging guideline for Artwork creation / changes

Coordination of the creation and approval of MAW file for NPD and re-designs

Manage graphics operations of key pkg. sites: Global Triangulated Products Except US marketed products

Foundation: Evaluate and understand the category brand architecture from a visual PoV

Visibility to the current industry competitive landscape for the category

Evaluate the current standing of the Bayer Category portfolio vis-à-vis competition

Awareness of the current design challenges in the category for various brands and ensure resolution in future NPD / re-designs

Complete understanding of sustainability guidance, print feasibility, colour usage guidance

Execution: Participate and contribute to the creative briefing and design strategy with the design stakeholders / creative agency

Review of core category brand assets and consideration of how they flex into the category

Evaluate and provide design development feedback during the design development phase and design finalization phase

Ensure the new design is compatible - Printing feasibility, sustainability guidance and number of colours

Ensure the high-res assets are fit for purpose

Guide the artwork agencies to create /update packaging guidelines

Contribute to the brand manuals wherever needed

Design briefing to the artwork agency and the graphics operations team

Creation and approval of MAW for NPD and re-designs

Create design renewal tracker and support the monitoring of design implementation progress

Handover & Support: Design handover to graphics operations team for CSA / MUP, NPI and TL

Ensure alignment with the countries in case of a deviation from the MAW

Provide visibility to the graphics operations team about upcoming NPD / Re-design for capacity management and forecasting

Support key pkg site(s) in mock-ups, launches and change requests

Monitor key KPIs for the category

WHO YOU ARE

 

Bachelor’s degree in graphics management (or equivalent) with min. 6y experience, master’s degree (or equivalent) with min. 3y experience

Experience and proven success in Consumer Healthcare OTC /Pharmaceutical product /FMCG packaging with broad understanding of Packaging; Processes, Technologies, Materials, and Industrialization.

At least 5 years of experience in Graphics / Artwork management, knowledge of Adobe InDesign / Adobe Illustrator or similar software is desirable

Good knowledge of packaging types and material

Good creative and negotiation skills

Work closely with global suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing.

Must be a leader and a team player with strong collaboration skills with internal customers and external partners.

Critical thinker, goal oriented and easily adapts to change

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and high degree of customer focus and m ust be able to work independently and as part of a team

Fluent in English
