Senior Medical Project Manager

Breast Cancer & Gynecological Cancers (BC & Gyn)

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity within the Oncology Medical Affairs function for a Senior Medical Project Manager focused on Breast Cancer and Gynecological Cancers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the medical strategy in Spain & Portugal, working closely with national and international colleagues within Medical Affairs and the broader cross-functional organization. The role requires strong scientific expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to develop meaningful partnerships with external experts and key stakeholders.

The position is based in Madrid and reports to the Oncology Medical Affairs Director. National and international travel may be required to support scientific meetings, congresses, advisory boards, and other Medical Affairs activities.

Key Responsibilities

Execute Medical Affairs activities and scientific projects aligned with the local medical strategy and Plan of Action for the solid tumors assigned.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the local Medical Affairs Plan within the assigned therapeutic areas.

Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Global Medical Affairs.

Develop and deliver high-quality medical education and scientific communication initiatives through multiple channels.

Support scientific publication planning and execution.

Establish and maintain scientific relationships with Key HCPs , scientific societies, cooperative groups, and other relevant stakeholders in Breast and Gynecological Oncology.

Lead and support advisory boards, expert meetings, scientific exchange activities, and insight-generation initiatives.

Present scientific and clinical data in a variety of medical and scientific settings.

Support evidence generation activities, including local studies, collaborative research initiatives, and Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS/IITs).

Contribute to the successful launch and lifecycle management of oncology products within the BC & Gyn portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent).

Strong clinical and scientific understanding of Oncology. Experience in Breast Cancer and/or Gynecological Cancers is highly desirable.

Minimum 5  years of experience in a medical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry or a related healthcare environment.

Experience supporting product launches and/or lifecycle management activities is strongly valued.

Strategic mindset with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Spanish and  Portuguese desirable.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.

Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.

Previous experience working in an international environment is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience in Breast Cancer and/or Gynecological Oncology.

Knowledge of oncology landscape, including cooperative groups and relevant scientific societies.

Experience in medical education, scientific exchange, advisory boards, evidence generation and stakeholder engagement.

Proven ability to work across functions and contribute to patient-centered medical strategies.
