Job Description
The Soft Services Executive will be responsible for independently managing day-to-day soft services operations across assigned Amgen facilities. The role ensures high standards of housekeeping, pantry and cafeteria services, reception, mailroom, pest control, landscaping, waste management, workplace hygiene, and employee experience while maintaining compliance with EH&S, GMP (where applicable), and Amgen workplace standards.
This position requires strong operational leadership, vendor management capabilities, stakeholder engagement, and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver an exceptional workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Operations
Independently manage all soft services operations across assigned facilities.
Ensure facilities consistently meet Amgen's workplace, safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Conduct regular workplace inspections and implement corrective actions.
Drive service excellence through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
Housekeeping & Hygiene
Manage housekeeping operations, cleaning schedules, deep-cleaning programs, and hygiene standards.
Monitor cleanliness of office spaces, collaboration areas, meeting rooms, cafeterias, restrooms, and common areas.
Ensure compliance with EH&S requirements and statutory hygiene standards.
Food & Pantry Operations
Oversee pantry, café, and food service operations delivered by service partners.
Monitor food quality, hygiene, inventory, employee feedback, and vendor performance.
Coordinate with catering partners during employee events and leadership meetings.
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage outsourced soft service vendors and ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and drive service improvements.
Validate invoices, monitor budgets, and ensure contractual compliance.
Employee Experience
Act as the primary point of contact for workplace-related soft services.
Resolve employee concerns promptly while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Support workplace events, leadership visits, town halls, onboarding activities, and employee engagement initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with Amgen policies, EH&S standards, statutory requirements, and audit expectations.
Support internal and external audits.
Maintain required documentation, SOPs, and operational records.
Sustainability
Support waste segregation, recycling, water conservation, and sustainability initiatives.
Drive environmentally responsible workplace practices.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare operational dashboards and monthly performance reports.
Track KPIs, service levels, employee feedback, audit observations, and improvement plans.
Utilize data to identify trends and recommend operational enhancements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
5–9 years of experience managing corporate soft services in multinational organizations, life sciences, pharmaceutical, technology, or commercial office environments.
Experience managing outsourced IFM partners and multiple service contracts.
