Solution Design Manager Quality DevSec O
POSITION PURPOSE:
Delivers world-class, lean, and standardized quality operations processes, security models, and community engagement frameworks for Bayer's quality units.
Acts as the primary Quality-oversight contact for other value
Serves as the central authority bridging Quality functional design with Security & Authorizations (S&A) governance and ITOps stability.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
DevSecOps & Release Governance
Embed security checkpoints into RfCs, Normal, and Urgent Changes
Own the S&A strategy, defining Personas that govern role-based access across S/4HANA and satellites per GxP requirements.
Manage security-driven Urgent Changes (e.g., vulnerability patches, access revocation) with System Owners and ITQA.
Drive DevOps-aligned working practices (agile, sprint delivery) within quality guardrails, excluding toolchain ownership.
ITOps Enablement
Partner with ITOps and Deployment teams (US-CS, PH/CH G1 FTT, T3 Austria Pilot) to ensure stability pre- and post-go-live.
Route ServiceNow incidents into the RfC/Defect Correction process as needed.
Coordinate hypercare and business ramp-up after major deployments (HCO).
Community & Content Management
Own the Quality Operations Community of Practice across onshore/offshore and factory teams.
Manage the lifecycle of SOPs, Process Definition Documents, and Configuration Rationale Documents.
Onboard, train, and stand up the global solution design network, including IT Hubs.
Engage value stream leads and SMEs on design, security, and process changes.
Key working relations
ITOps teams, Deployment Leads, Release Management, and S&A/security architecture teams.
CORE program management, integration management, CAB, and PMO.
Direct counterpart: SDL Quality Data Engineering & Architecture (data/technical layer)
WHO YOU ARE:
5+ years of experience in related systems areas, with strong functional leadership.
Deep functional knowledge of Quality processes in SAP products (S/4HANA, QM, LIMS, GBT).
Proven expertise in SAP Security and Authorizations (S&A), persona-based access design, and GxP-compliant access governance.
Profound understanding of the life-science industry, Pharma business, and GMP requirements.
Strong communication, training, and community-facilitation skills.
Proven leadership managing change in global matrix organizations; resilience and persistence under pressure.
