In this position the OSD Manufacturing Master Data provides advanced operational and strategic leadership for all Manufacturing Master Data activities at the Boudry site, in full compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements. the successful candidate will hold end-to-end accountability for the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of master data processes supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, while also shaping the mid-to-long-term master data roadmap in alignment with Global Supply Chain, Global Master Data priorities and IT roadmap.

This role operates with a significantly broader scope, spanning multiple cross-functional domains, complex site-level transformation programs, and active participation in global master data governance initiatives. The Senior Manager II is expected to independently lead and resolve complex, ambiguous situations and to act as a recognized subject-matter expert and key influencer across the Boudry site organization and within the BMS manufacturing network.

You will be accountable for team performance and development and serves as the primary site interface on all master data topics with the Global Supply group, IT/Digital partners, and other BMS network sites. The person acts as the back-up of his peers. You will act fully acts as deputy of his/her supervisor, the Director of Site Supply Management, in the full scope of that role.

1. Duties/Responsibilities

Strategic Contribution & Roadmap Development

Contributes to defining and actively drives the multi-year OSD Manufacturing Master Data roadmap for the Boudry site, ensuring alignment with the Global Master Data strategy and site transformation objectives (ERP and MES)

Proactively identifies gaps, risks, and opportunities across the master data landscape; develops structured improvement plans with measurable outcomes and escalates critical issues to senior leadership with clear recommendations

Participates as a key voice in the Global Master Data governance forums and cross-network working groups, representing Boudry site interests and contributing to the definition of global standards and best practices

Supports the integration of master data strategy into the broader Boudry digital transformation agenda, including ERP modernization and data analytics initiatives

Anticipates future master data demands driven by product lifecycle changes, network evolutions, and regulatory updates, and adapts team priorities and processes accordingly

Operational Excellence & Delivery

Holds end-to-end accountability for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and GMP compliance of all manufacturing master data across the Boudry site (Bills of Materials, Recipes, Routings, Production Versions, Batch Classification, Planning data, Material Master, etc.)

Drives operational performance of the master data team, managing workload prioritization, quality of deliverables, and operational risk mitigation in a complex and fast-moving manufacturing environment

Leads continuous improvement initiatives across all master data processes using Lean, process excellence, and data quality frameworks; measures and communicates progress through KPIs and dashboards

Leads the master data workstream for complex site programs such as new product introductions, technology transfers, product lifecycle changes, and manufacturing network optimization projects

Oversees master data readiness and execution for ERP-related activities, including data migration, data cleansing, harmonization, and cutover support in the context of SAP transformation programs and MES transformation programs

Ensures robust master data processes and controls are in place and continuously reviewed to support regulatory inspections and internal audits

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management

Acts as the senior master data business partner for Site Supply Chain, and any other cross-functional partners and departments at the Boudry site

Builds and sustains strong working relationships with the Global Supply group, Global Master Data organization, IT/Digital teams, and other BMS manufacturing network sites to align on data standards, shared processes, and improvement initiatives

Leads resolution of complex, cross-functional master data issues spanning multiple departments, bringing structured problem-solving, clear communication, and timely decision-making

Represents the master data function in relevant site-level forums, operational reviews, and cross-functional project steering bodies

Project Leadership, Key Initiatives (reflecting current accountabilities)

Leads the master data workstream within the SAP S/4HANA readiness program for Boudry, including data governance design, data migration strategy, and change management coordination across impacted departments

Drives the master data harmonization initiative across the Boudry OSD network, ensuring alignment of data structures, naming conventions, and classification standards with the Global Master Data framework

Leads the Bill of Materials and Recipe rationalization program in support of product lifecycle optimization and manufacturing simplification objectives

Deploys and maintains master data quality dashboards and KPI reporting using advanced analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud) to provide actionable visibility to site and global stakeholders

Actively contributes to BMS-wide digital data initiatives, positioning Boudry as a reference site for master data operational excellence within the BMS manufacturing network

People Leadership & Team Development

Leads, coaches, and develops a team of specialists and senior specialists, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture

Manages end-to-end performance management: goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end assessments, and individual development planning with a long-term career perspective

Identifies and develops talent within the team; ensures retention of critical technical and functional capabilities

Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, quality mindset, and operational excellence within the team

Acts as a mentor for junior professionals within the broader Site Supply Chain organization

Management Responsibilities

Manages end-to-end performance of the team and proposes organizational adjustments as business needs evolve

Manages the goal-setting process for his/her team in alignment with department and site-level objectives

Defines, monitors, communicates, and adjusts KPIs and significant metrics for his/her team; provides regular performance reporting to senior leadership

Promotes operational and strategic excellence within the team and with peers across the site

Manages general team operations: holidays/absence/back-up/training/feedback/consistent communication to and from the team

Assesses risks at team and function level; defines and implements mitigation plans

Acts as full deputy of his/her manager, the Director of Site Supply Management

Compliance Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures all activities within his/her scope and the full scope of his/her team are executed in strict compliance with GxP and applicable regulatory requirements

Maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date quality system records: SOPs, Working Procedures, Change Management records, and CAPA-related activities

Acts as CAPA Action Owner, CCR Owner, CCR Action Owner, and CCR Action Verifier

Ensures master data function readiness for regulatory inspections and internal audits, and actively contributes to the resolution of any findings related to master data

2. Qualifications

12+ years of progressive experience in master data management, ERP, or supply chain operations, with a significant portion in a GMP/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

5+ years of people management experience, including management of senior specialists

Demonstrated experience leading complex ERP-related master data activities (SAP S/4HANA or equivalent), including data migration, governance design, and cross-functional coordination

Strong expertise in master data domains relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing: Bills of Materials, Recipes, Routings, Production Versions, Batch Classification, Material Master, Plant Maintenance data

Proven ability to operate autonomously and strategically in a complex, international, multi-site manufacturing organization, managing ambiguity and competing priorities

Strong knowledge of GxP, GMP regulatory environment, and data integrity requirements applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute improvement roadmaps, drive change management, and deliver measurable results in a cross-functional environment

Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational development skills; proven ability to build and sustain high-performing teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; proficient in leveraging data and metrics to support organizational decision-making

Experience deploying data quality frameworks, process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), and digital analytics tools (Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, or equivalent)

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills across organizational levels and cultural contexts

GxP mindset and quality culture deeply embedded in professional practice

Project management experience (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) and/or product lifecycle management expertise are an asset

Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required

Excellent IT proficiency: MS Office (advanced), Excel (advanced), SAP ERP/S4HANA, Oracle or equivalent ERP platforms; data analytics tools are a strong asset
