The Global TA Inflammation, (Senior) HEOR Manager, brings technical expertise, driving Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Patient Related Outcomes fostering our patient centric drive. His/she will support the TA Market Access Head by providing oversight, direction, and functional support on HEOR & PRO & Access projects. He/she will be working closely with Value and Evidence Networks within our Global Business Unit and with external stakeholders.
Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role, you develop and execute on health economics outcomes research (HEOR) & PRO strategies, demonstrating the medical and economic payer-relevant needs to optimize value of BI products.
In this function, you generate evidence that secures optimal market access, successful HTA assessments, optimal pricing, reimbursement and formulary listing for BI products on a global scale.
Additionally, you ensure insights to further inform development of the Target Product Profile (TPP), clinical development plan of our pipeline compounds.
In consideration of regulatory body request and trial development, pre and post launch you will ensure relevant and new patient-reported outcome (PRO) measurement strategies to ensure that the patient perspective is captured in our clinical trial program and interact with regulatory authorities, closely collaborating with other functions.
Besides, you ensure efficient and timely development of key HEOR deliverables (i.e. payer value stories, payer engagement tools, GVDs, economic models, retrospective database analyses, indirect comparisons, real world evidence data) for assigned BI products.
Finally, yet importantly, you develop and maintain relevant partnerships with payers, academic research institutions, contract research organizations and other HEOR thought leaders in order to optimize the impact of HEOR & PRO research.
Additional responsibilities as Senior Manager:
You will define long-term global development strategies for the assets, in close collaboration with the global Marketing and global Medical counterparts, to ensure optimal patient access.
In addition, you will draft long-term publication strategies, considering the long-term global market development.
Requirements
Graduate degree, preferably PhD in health economics, Medicine (MD), public health, pharmacy, focusing on Health Technology Assessment, PRO, Pharmacy, Medicine, Public Health
Several years of pharma industry experience, with positions in areas of relevance for HEOR, PRO consulting or payer authorities
Multiple years of direct experience undertaking Health Technology Assessments (HTA) & PRO including Evaluations for Regulatory and health authority interventions of pharmaceutical products
Conducting or being part of a team working on non-interventional studies and RWE programs
Demonstrated experience of successful regulatory, reimbursement negotiations for launching new products in key markets
Proven track record of delivering value demonstration materials that resulted in timely patient access and adoption
Proven ability in appraising clinical evidence (both RCTs and operational evidence)
Profound knowledge and expertise to formulating COA strategies including validation methods, administration of measures and statistical analyses of COA data
Excellent communication and influencing skill both in internal and external context
Additional requirements as Senior HEOR Manager:
Long-term pharma industry experience, with positions in the areas of health economics, pricing & reimbursement, consulting, or payer authorities
Several years of exposure to international business on a day-to-day basis
Strong track record in value generation, demonstration and/or communication
Highly experienced in conducting health economics/outcomes research across multiple specialty disciplines (e.g. patient reported outcomes, health economic modelling, real world data generation)
For employees with a current contract of limited duration, legal / labor agreement requirements for contract extension will be considered.
