Digital Farming Solutions at Bayer is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join one of our regional, dynamic product delivery teams working in cloud-based distributed environments.

Digital Farming Solutions at Bayer Crop Science seeks a Senior Mobile engineer our Mobile Hub and work in one of our dynamic Product delivery teams. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

Build, maintain, and improve mobile applications that directly impact growers and advisors, ensuring compatibility with team standards and architecture.

Contribute to technical designs and estimates discussions.

Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts to understand customer needs deeply, evaluate whether technical solutions solve the right problems, and proactively surface improvements to the customer experience.

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of knowledge sharing at the team level, and engage in cross-team collaboration.

Participate in defining and implementing standards and best practices across mobile teams, and independently research, learn, and apply emerging standard methodologies.

Work in 90-day cycles, embrace a cadence of acting, learning fast, and evolving.

Hold yourself and teammates accountable for outcomes; communicate risks clearly, operate with transparency, and align on solutions through healthy, cross-functional engagement.

WHO YOU ARE 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required:

5+ years of software development experience.

Experience building mobile applications with a cross-platform tool (Kotlin Multiplatform or React Native).

Experience developing apps for iOS and Android platforms (Swift and Kotlin).

Solid understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC).

Experience releasing applications through the App Store and Google Play.

Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems.

Experience with testing and automation tools.

Strong communication skills, able to convey technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Agriculture industry experience

Preferred:

Experience integrating with GraphQL APIs.

Knowledge of secure mobile development principles.

Experience working with Product and Design to ship differentiated, customer-driven features.

Familiarity with accessibility standards for mobile applications.

Experience with C++ or Objective C.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $110k-157k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
