About this opportunity
Your Role
Design and develop precision tooling for container handling systems, ensuring full compatibility across container types and components, including valves, liquid sensors, and VCR fittings
Drive engineering solutions that support quality, safety, and efficiency across production operations at the Kaohsiung site and globally across all Thin Films sites
Lead and contribute to capital projects of varying scale and complexity, from initial concept through start-up and closure documentation, applying rigorous project management discipline
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, quality, supply chain, and R&D to gather requirements, evaluate challenges, and deliver engineering solutions that meet both operational and business needs
Develop and maintain 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, working within the SolidWorks PDM system
Partner with vendors on design improvements and modifications to optimize system performance
Conduct testing and validation of design tools to ensure reliability and performance standards are met
Develop procedures, policies, and best practices for both engineering and production environments
Champion digitization and continuous improvement initiatives across business units
Extract and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and reports that support project development and decision-making
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; an advanced degree is an advantage
10 or more years of experience in mechanical or chemical engineering design, with a focus on tools and equipment applicable to container engineering and related systems
Hands-on experience working with hazardous and/or high-purity chemicals, including process hazard analysis and safety reviews
Knowledge of container cleaning, drying, moisture analysis, particle counting, leak detection, cleanroom protocols, and process control automation
Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM for 3D CAD modeling and design management
Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues directly on the production floor while maintaining a strategic perspective on long-term engineering outcomes
Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing capital projects from concept through closure
Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse, cross-functional stakeholders
Strong written and verbal English communication skills to support documentation, reporting, and collaboration with global teams
