Join our team as an AI Engineer and play a key role within our Data & AI Organization (MDAO) - a highly engaged team of data enthusiasts, engineers, and AI specialists. Our mission is to design, build, and run analytics solutions that deliver actionable insights to address business challenges and provide strategic data products to our partners across the Enabling Functions, including Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal, and many more. As an AI Engineer, you will design and implement reliable analytics pipelines and enterprise-grade agentic workflows, integrating LLMs, predictive models, and multi-agent frameworks to deliver scalable AI solutions across our business functions. You will ensure model reliability, reproducibility, and performance at enterprise scale within our modern technology ecosystem, utilizing platforms such as AWS, Palantir Foundry and Snowflake. Embedding explainability, transparency, and security into every AI solution and using Agentic Engineering tools to multiply the delivery is a core expectation of this role. You will work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and fellow Data Scientists in agile, cross-functional Product-Oriented Delivery Teams (PODs), supporting business teams in consuming AI outputs through APIs, dashboards, and embedded analytics. You will actively contribute to building internal AI literacy by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and piloting innovative approaches. A genuine curiosity for the latest developments in AI and data science will be essential, soyou will continuously identify opportunities to experiment, measure impact, and drive the field forward within our organization.

Who You Are

University degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, application design, analytics, or visualization within a global organization.

Experience working with Finance, HR, and/or Procurement data and core business processes.

Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL

Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, predictive modeling, and NLP combined with practical experience developing LLM-powered applications

Familiarity with vector stores, reranking techniques and LLM observability tooling such as (Langfuse, LangSmith, or similar)

Experience in using agentic engineering tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or OpenCode effectively and responsibly within enterprise software development workflows

Experience working with cloud and enterprise data platforms such as AWS, Palantir Foundry or Snowflake and frameworks like Apache Spark, polars, DuckDB or dbt for data transformation.

MLOps & DevOps experience, including MLflow, CI/CD and Docker

Continuously up-to-date with digital trends, emerging technologies, and the evolving AI landscape.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
