Your Role

An exciting opportunity to join our Chemistry Franchise and be part of our Strategic Marketing organization! At Millipore Sigma, we are building on a legacy of scientific excellence, trusted brands, and deep customer partnerships while shaping the next generation of growth in life science. The Segment Marketing Lead is a high-impact role for a curious, customer-centric, and commercially minded leader who is energized by turning insights into action and shaping the future of a best-in-class global organization.

As a Segment Marketing Lead, you  are the strategic owner of a market segment (e.g., pharma & biotech, academia & government, industrial & testing, etc.), responsible for identifying and accelerating growth opportunities through deep customer understanding, market insights, and cross-functional leadership. In this pivotal role, you will define where to play and how to win, translating deep customer understanding and market dynamics into focused strategies that shape portfolio priorities, accelerate demand generation, and strengthen the organization’s position as a trusted industry leader.

You will serve as the voice of the customer across the organization, ensuring that workflows, pain points, and unmet needs are consistently reflected in value propositions, messaging, and commercial execution. You will own segment-level growth objectives, including revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer adoption, and will monitor performance to proactively recommend course corrections that improve impact. Partnering with Business Fields, Research and Development, Commercial, Business Development, and Strategic Accounts, you will shape innovation roadmaps and launch priorities, positioning the organization ahead of emerging market shifts.

A key dimension of this role is elevating the organization from activity-based marketing to customer-centric, strategy-led, outcome-driven marketing. You will lead through influence, building alignment across internal business partners and leadership teams, and creating shared accountability for execution. You will also define market development priorities, develop thought leadership strategies, and foster partnerships with industry associations and academic institutions to expand market influence.

This role requires domestic and international travel of up to 50% for internal and external engagement.
