Job Description:
This position is accountable for implementing sales strategies for approved products consistent with Ipsen compliance standards as well as all applicable legal requirements for those key targeted Health Care Providers (HCP’s) and hospital systems within an assigned territory.
Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
Execution of sales strategies
Achieves sales objectives within product range or assigned territory. Pursues sales leads, promotes products, close sales and arranges internal logistics.
Responsible for organizing sales programs.
Responsible for managing multiple priorities and sales related projects.
Implementing Marketing plan and strategies in the sales organization.
Provides relevant, thoughtful input to sales leadership, Hospital Account Specialist in regard to strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region
Customer and territory management
Builds and develops professional relationships with (but not limited to) assigned customers
Leverages expertise and knowledge of oncology and pediatric endocrinology, the marketplace, applicable competitors, industry and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges
Understands hospital committee structure, Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) process, treatment and discharge protocols, Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) and hospital reimbursement process as it relates to the customers they are responsible for in order to maximize opportunities
Development of market potential
Reach market share targets in units.
Establish and maintain professional relationship with key opinion leaders
Prioritizes time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential
Anticipates potential barriers to achievement of goals and proposes responsible solutions for success
Develops and implements effective customer specific territory plans. Communicates insights to internal stakeholders
Ethics & Compliance
Understands fully the assigned customers’ product and business needs and works to meet those needs while adhering to all of company ethics and compliance standards.
Knowledge & Experience
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business major or Pharmaceutical related
Experience:
At least two years of documented, full-time, successful pharmaceutical sales, preferably in pediatric genetics and endocrinology, oncology or urology markets will be a plus
Languages:
Chinese: native speaker
English: Working knowledge of English with the ability to understand business and scientific materials and communicate effectively in a multinational environment. Willingness to continuously develop English proficiency for future career growth is highly valued
