Our Team:
This Role holds full responsibility & accountability of P&L with end-to-end management and ownership of the portfolio (ranging from customer engagement and innovative GTM Omnichannel customer engagement) by driving optimisation and performance management aligned to India for India plan.
Sales: To deliver topline efficiently aligned to budget and create max plans to position India as a significant contributor to the MCO
Main responsibilities:
The role is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets, and driving team performance and engagement as well as planning and deploying financial and other resources for the business
Business Strategy and Planning
Deliver India blueprint for Rare Disease portfolios - Opportunity mapping and sequencing launches
Building and executing business strategy aligned with India for India and action plans for the short and long term
Strategise robust mechanisms to manage diagnostic odyssey for rare diseases in India
Liaise with various internal/external stakeholders to create access pathways that bridge the diagnosis vs treatment gaps
Identify regulatory challenges for launches and ensure timely launch of all products in the portfolio
Unlock the commercial potential and intelligent balance of access programs
Drive policy shaping initiatives to prepare ground for future launches
Leading the preparation and driving the execution of budget and P&L.
Identify areas for commercial innovation and incubate ideas/projects to accelerate growth, Budget / P&L / Performance management
Establish Budget, propose necessary investments to deliver financial objectives both in sales and BOI
Prepare the organisation for innovative GTM models and new launches in Rare Diseases in line with India for India growth plan.
People and Culture
Ensure transversal teamwork and play to win team spirit to reach business objectives, providing mentoring & coaching of the BU leadership team as appropriate
Drive capability development (technical and managerial) in collaboration with P&C and Business Support to equip the team to deliver effectively.
Ensures alignment with Sanofi Ethics Business Integrity (E&BI)
Build & lead a high performing team, nurture, and retain good talent and create a strong succession pipeline.
Create a culture of diversity and inclusion and drive a complete compliant organization in line with the ethical culture of the organization
Financial
Achieve budgeted sales and operating profitability targets for the BU through prudent deployment of resources, review of performance, evaluation of progress and preparing subsequent action plans with a 2-3 year time horizon.
Monitor, review and improvise on the Profit & Loss status for the BU in line with annual / mid-term strategy for the business
Create viable business cases to secure approvals for launch of entire portfolio across all specialty care segments
Process
Sales Planning & Campaign execution: Plan for sales forecasts, sales mix, set targets, drive alignment and dissemination, plan for resource deployment and track and monitor progress periodically.
Set up, implement, and improvise processes for delivery of marketing inputs for the BU to facilitate consistent and frequent messages across the organization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive for timely availability of marketing inputs in order to provide accurate, consistent and relevant messages within and outside the team
Demand Generation and sales realization: Set guidelines for identifying and mapping new / existing doctors, sales visit and chamber execution strategies. Based on market intelligence and global trends examine opportunities for new business areas and convert them into projects.
Drive a digital first mindset to build a more efficient OPEX base for the Business Unit operations
Ensuring operational effectiveness and drive innovative GTM model transformation and create a best-in-class commercial operating model
Customer
Develop and leverage direct contact with KOLs through various forums (scientific symposia, and international medical developments) to build KOL mind space to propagate brands and products.
Undertake regular field visits to evaluate implementation of sales and marketing plan as well as gain real time customer insight
About you
Experience: About 12-15 years' experience, with direct responsibility for business results or strong cross-functional working exposure with commercial functions like sales, marketing, and business development.
Soft skills: Strategic thinking, Negotiation and Influencing Skills, Problem Solving skills, Analytical thinking, Leadership, Proficiency in Selling, Customer Relationship
Technical skills: Business and Finance acumen, Project Management, Digital and Technology savvy, Customer Insights and Planning, Knowledge of Marketing, Finance & General Management concepts. Comfort with rules & regulations, statutory compliances in the Healthcare Industry.
Education: Graduate degree in Science/ Pharmacy, preferably with a management qualification
Languages: Fluent in English
