Your New Role

As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will translate Novo Nordisk’s medical strategy into impactful local activities for your designated region. You will be the scientific face of the company to healthcare professionals and a key partner to internal teams. Your core responsibilities include:

Implement local medical plans: Execute the national Medical Affairs strategy within your region, turning strategic objectives into measurable local activities and timelines.

Build and maintain scientific relationships: Establish, nurture and expand strong, evidence-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), diabetes specialists and other relevant stakeholders to drive scientific exchange and advocacy for Novo Nordisk’s portfolio.

Gather and communicate clinical insights: Actively attend scientific meetings and engage with HCPs to capture clinical needs, practice trends and unmet needs. Synthesize these insights and share timely, actionable feedback with cross-functional internal teams.

Support brand and commercial strategy: Collaborate closely with marketing and sales to sharpen product positioning and promotional tactics. Provide medical input to anticipate market changes and recommend corrective or preventive actions.

Medical education and training: Develop and deliver scientific training and educational activities for physicians, allied HCPs, and internal field and marketing personnel to ensure consistent, compliant medical and product knowledge across the region.

Scientific support to stakeholders: Provide medical advice and support to the brand team and other internal stakeholders on clinical data interpretation, label information, and therapeutic positioning.

Ensure compliance and quality: Conduct all activities in line with local regulations, Novo Nordisk policies, and ethical standards for scientific engagement.

This role requires strong clinical credibility, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to convert scientific evidence into practical actions that benefit patients and support business goals.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Education: MD, MBBS from a recognized institution.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in Medical Affairs.

Therapeutic knowledge: Solid understanding of diabetes and related metabolic. disorders, with ability to interpret clinical data and treatment paradigms.

Stakeholder engagement & communication: Proven ability to build relationships with HCPs/KOLs and to communicate complex scientific information clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Analytical & execution skills: Strong clinical judgement and analytical ability, plus demonstrated skills in planning, executing and following up projects with attention to detail.

Personal attributes & compliance: Proactive, collaborative and adaptable mindset, with high ethical standards and commitment to regulatory and company policies.

Preferred: prior MSL/Regional Medical Advisor experience or direct experience with diabetes products.
