R&D Data Operations (m/f/d) limited to 12 months

Shape the Future of R&D Data Excellence.

You will play a key role in advancing data quality across Pharmaceutical Research, applying FAIR data principles to make research data more accessible, reliable, and impactful. You will combine strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and technical know-how to strengthen data governance and improve the usability of project-related data across R&D. Working closely with business partners, you will gather and translate requirements into practical data and analytics solutions that create real business value. Through your contributions to the development and enhancement of data foundations, you will help enable better, data-driven decision-making across the organization.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

You will define and maintain data generation and curation standards while enabling users to apply them effectively in their daily work

You will analyze existing datasets and their interdependencies to support informed decisions on data access and governance

You will contribute to Bayer’s digital transformation by advancing data-driven ways of working across R&D

You will understand laboratory data management requirements and help develop solutions that make data FAIR, accessible, and reusable

You will support the design and implementation of automated solutions that improve efficiency and streamline data processing

You will lead the development and rollout of research project information solutions, ensuring business requirements are translated into practical and sustainable outcomes

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define information requirements and drive continuous improvements in data quality and usability

You will help strengthen the data foundations that enable informed decision-making and accelerate scientific innovation

WHO YOU ARE 

You hold a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, or a related discipline; a PhD is an advantage

You bring experience in data curation within scientific or research environments

You have worked in data stewardship, data governance, master data management, or a comparable data-focused role

You design and implement automated workflows that improve the efficiency and quality of data processing

You understand data architectures, metadata models, and semantic technologies and apply them to solve complex data challenges.

You apply a strong analytical mindset and quality focus to improve processes and communicate complex data concepts in a clear and practical way

You work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, manage projects reliably, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders while navigating ambiguity.

You quickly learn new concepts while bridging business, scientific, and technical perspectives

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.

We ensure your financial stability with a competitive salary between 88.900€ and  108.000€ per year (full-time) plus a variable component. Your compensation is based on your qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
