Join us in a key leadership role where quality, innovation, and operational excellence come together. As a QC Team Leader, you will lead the daily operations of our Quality Control laboratory, ensuring the timely and compliant testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products while supporting manufacturing and product release activities.
You will manage laboratory priorities, mentor and develop a team of analysts, drive investigations and troubleshooting efforts, and collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D to ensure the highest quality standards are consistently achieved.
***This is a temporary role through early 2028.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate day-to-day QC laboratory operations, including raw material testing activities.
Set laboratory priorities, allocate resources effectively, and support employee development and training.
Review analytical results, laboratory records, and compliance documentation to support product release.
Lead laboratory investigations, deviations, OOS/OOT events, and root cause analyses, ensuring timely closure and implementation of corrective actions.
Drive data trending, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and compliance.
Support analytical method validation, verification, transfer, and implementation activities.
Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company quality procedures.
Troubleshoot analytical methods, laboratory equipment, and process-related issues, providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, RA, and R&D to support operational and business objectives.
Maintain laboratory readiness for internal and external audits and inspections.
Hands-On Leadership
This role combines people leadership with strong technical involvement. While focused on managing laboratory operations, the QC Team Leader is expected to remain closely connected to laboratory activities and may occasionally perform hands-on testing, support investigations, and assist during periods of high workload.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory environment.
Mandatory experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience – a significant advantage.
Experience with analytical laboratory techniques and laboratory equipment troubleshooting.
Experience in deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA management, and data review.
