As a Project Manager in the CMC Project Management Team at BioNTech, you will be part of cross-functional project teams in a variety of late phase CMC development projects that support our clinical trials. You will be responsible for the coordination of complex projects and the setup of guiding structures, that enable your interdisciplinary project teams to accomplish their mission/goals at any stage.

The role is a fixed-term contract for 2 years.

Your main responsibilities are:

Cross-functional planning of projects in a highly dynamic environment (incl. definition of scope, tasks, work packages and deliverables), coordination, and monitoring of project progress (incl. budget, timelines, quality, risk management)

Integrate program strategy and operational execution across all the functional areas and work packages in delivering the program’s goals and the team’s success (scope, budget, time, quality)

Establish and ensure efficient content and information flow between interdisciplinary teams incl. routine status reporting and project reviews to ensure that project goals meet company’s vision and strategy

Lead and support the implementation of company-wide new processes and process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency

Build, maintain, and manage high performing project teams

What you have to offer:

Successful degree in Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry or similar fields

Experienced in working in project management of cross-functional teams, preferable to have previous working experience in a regulated environment (e.g. GCP/ GCLP, GMP)

Experienced in working in highly cross-functional teams and managing different stakeholder level and external partners

Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills

Background in Pharma and/or CMC is an advantage

Fast perception of new knowledge and efficient problem-solving skills with high personal commitment

Willingness to handle complex projects across multiple departments and with collaboration partners

Ability and interest to think in business strategic perspectives is an advantage

Excellent English skills, written and orally (German skills are also desirable but not essential)
