About this opportunity
-Lead Product Compliance and Trade Compliance functions for chemical substances, ensuring global and local compliance in Japan.
-Manage Japan Product Compliance team responsible for regulatory strategy, registrations/notifications, labeling and SDS updates, product classification, and audit readiness.
-Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Development, Commercial teams and overseas product compliance teams to drive compliant and sustainable product lifecycle management.
-Report to Head of Product Compliance Japan.
Ensure a compliance by playing a role of chemical registration, regulatory judgement and a consultation to internal/external stakeholders.
-SDS authoring, Label creation for commercial product and sample by SAP/EHS.
-Monitor Japan chemical laws and regulations and implement a necessary action in cooperation with related departments proactively for compliance.
-Chemical registration of chemical substance control law and Industrial safety and health law.
-Annual reporting to Japanese authorities.
-Respond to customer inquiry in cooperation with Business, Global Marketing Manager, Quality departments.
-Apply and renew business licenses such as strategic goods, narcotic raw material, poisonous and deleterious substances under Japanese regulations.
-Create customs clearance report for import, make strategic goods classification for export control and assign HS code. Fulfill trade compliance management by Global Trading System. (GTS connected to SAP.)
- Support R&D activities such as New Product Introduction (NPI) and sample shipment for domestic and overseas customers by K2. (Sample shipment management workflow.)
-SAP/EHS key user role. - Japan EHS key user works closely with global data maintenance (RSE) and IT teams for SAP EHS content and template updates, and solve an EHS related issue, conduct testing for modification. Participate in global ERP projects as a representative of Japan product compliance.

日本当局への年次報告。
ビジネス部門、グローバル・マーケティングマネージャー、品質部門と連携して顧客問い合わせに対応。
日本の法規制の下で戦略物品、麻薬原料、麻毒・有害物質等の事業許可を適用・更新。
輸入時の通関報告を作成し、輸出管理の戦略物品区分を行い、HSコードを割り当てる。グローバルトレードシステム(GTS)を通じて貿易コンプライアンスを実施する(GTSはSAPに接続)。
国内外の顧客向けの新製品導入(NPI)やサンプル出荷など、K2を通じたR&D活動を支援する(サンプル出荷管理ワークフロー)。
SAP/EHSの重要ユーザー。本部のグローバルデータ保守とITチームと密接に連携し、SAP EHSの内容とテンプレート更新を担当、EHS関連の問題を解決し、変更テストを実施。日本の製品コンプライアンス代表としてグローバルERPプロジェクトに参加。
