About this opportunity

The Position

As Process Manager in our Process Management Procurement team, you are part of the Global Business Services (GBS) organization at Boehringer Ingelheim. You are designing, building, and continuously improving Boehringer Ingelheim’s global procurement processes, which are supported by our global SAP systems united (SAP ERP) and weBuy (SAP Ariba). It does not include strategic or operational sourcing activities such as price requests, negotiations, or contracting. As part of our motivated team, you have the opportunity to drive effectiveness and efficiency globally.

This position is part-time eligible with minimum 80 %.

Tasks & responsibilities

Utilizing your expertise in Procurement, you'll pinpoint areas for improvement and collaboratively develop strategic proposals with stakeholders.

As a key Business Expert in Procurement, you'll collaborate on cross-functional topics with the GBS Center Network (Manila, Buenos Aires, Wroclaw, Ingelheim), GBS Sourcing, GBS MDM, and IT, aligning and coordinating demands with the Global Process Owner, Business Functions, and IT.

You will drive increasing user experience while identifying respective technologies.

Independently, you manage (international) project teams including preparation, implementation and follow-up of project milestones and complex workshops.

You'll oversee and manage user communities to promote best practices within our shared service centers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for the execution and documentation of testing and training activities, ensuring a seamless learning experience.

As a third-level support, you'll assist in our daily operation of processes and applications, ensuring our processes and systems remain compliant and validated.

Furthermore, you'll manage external consultants, ensuring their adherence to Boehringer Ingelheim's high standards.

The Procurement team works closely with colleagues from Process and Program Management (PPM) Sourcing, Accounts Payables, Travel and Expenses, S2P Compliance and PM Legal and Contracting Solutions, providing interesting insights and securing robust end to end processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree; preferably in Business Administration, IT or similar

Sound knowledge in Procurement and adjacent process areas (e.g. Sourcing, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable) ideally based on several years of working experience in a corresponding position

Good knowledge in SAP ERP S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass and very good understanding of dependencies within S2P as well as adjacent areas and systems

Agile, accountable, and entrepreneurial mindset with a dedicated solution- and result orientation as well as good analytical capabilities and problem-solving competence

Preferably, experience in managing projects on your own achieving your goals in time, budget, and quality

Dedicated team player appreciating diversity and versatility paired with good communication skills, including preparation of documentation for presentations

Fluent in English (additionally fluent in German would be an asset) for an efficient communication with international colleagues
