The Position

You will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology programmes and providing the clinical pharmacology strategy for early and late-stage development projects within Diabetes.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

Providing clinical pharmacology expertise to our business development project teams. Clinical pharmacology trial designs as well as interpretation and communication of trial results.

Driving and coordinating activities in the headquarter study groups and collaboration with affiliates and external partners involved across the value chain.

Scientific communication and interactions with many internal and external global stakeholders and key opinion leaders.

Clinical pharmacology summaries of submission dossiers and interactions with Health Authorities to provide clinical pharmacology input to secure approvals of new drugs.

Representing Clinical Pharmacology in global project teams. Supporting the development of Clinical Pharmacology competences by mentoring and sharing knowledge.

 

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:

Master's degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a PhD or equivalent scientific expertise.

Expert knowledge within Clinical Pharmacology in pharma or biotech industry.

Strong scientific and strategic mindset with a good understanding of clinical dosing aspects including first human dose setting and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationships.

Experience with Health Authority interactions.

Proven track record in planning and conducting clinical trials and working in cross-functional teams in a global and dynamic environment.

Business and value chain understanding.

Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Experience working with siRNAs is an advantage.

About the Department

You will join the Clinical Pharmacology organisation, which consists of six specialised Clinical Pharmacology departments as an integrated part of our Medical and Translational Sciences organisation. We are an organisation of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative and cross-functional setting.

Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being responsible for the clinical pharmacology strategy and the scientific input to clinical pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to all clinical development phases, Health Authority interactions and regulatory submissions worldwide

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 847,000.00 to 1,245,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
