Job Description

Job Description

Within IT Customer Success and Enablement (CSE), we focus on driving internal customer success and technology enablement across Gilead. Our goal is to minimise disruption, enhance productivity, and improve the overall employee experience. We bridge the gap between technology and people by building awareness and encouraging engagement with IT offerings, initiatives, platforms, and services. Through measuring adoption and satisfaction, we continuously strive for excellence and improvement.

We are seeking a subject matter expert to lead and deliver organisational change management, communications, and learning activities that support the successful adoption of enterprise-wide IT initiatives and technology solutions.

This role is centred on the people side of change, including impacts to business processes, systems, and technology. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders, leaders, and peers to design and execute plans that drive business value and achieve targeted outcomes. The role also requires adherence to departmental SOPs and guidelines to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Support the delivery of change management strategies and work plans across multiple internal IT projects and technology initiatives.

Promote and embed organisational change management practices within project delivery, ensuring consistent application of processes, methodologies, and tools (e.g. readiness assessments, targeted surveys, early adopters programmes, and communications).

Develop and execute communication strategies, including clear plans and timelines. Collaborate with leaders, peers, and IT stakeholders to ensure messaging aligns with strategic objectives.

Draft, review, and deliver high-quality communications in line with IT CSE plans.

Identify potential risks and areas of resistance, and work with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

Contribute to the development of comprehensive and targeted change plans, including communication, sponsor roadmaps, leadership coaching, learning plans, and measurement approaches.

Track adoption, utilisation, and user proficiency, while supporting continuous improvement of tracking tools and systems.

Encourage and implement reinforcement strategies, including recognition and celebration of success.

Support additional activities as required to meet IT CSE team objectives.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in organisational change management, project management, and communications within a technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of how change impacts organisations and external client environments.

Experience with established change management methodologies (e.g. ADKAR); Prosci certification is advantageous.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities.

Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and influence others.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Copilot, and familiarity with AI tools.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
