ITOT Singapore group manages Process Controls Systems (PCS), Information Management System (IMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and a number of GMP and non-GMP computer-based systems.

This role is a key member of MES & Control Systems group handling all systems-related aspects of the PCS, IMS, BAS and MES, Core responsibilities include managing servers, network hardware, systems security and user management, database management, Data Integrity and Computer System Validation (CSV) deliverables.

Your Opportunity

MES System Engineer for the assigned manufacturing IT application in 24X7 Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), accountable for its functionality, performance, compliance, and audit readiness.

Support and troubleshoot systems /network related issues for control systems.

Manage the system's full lifecycle of the MES system, including design documentation, development, integration, modification, operation, maintenance, and retirement.

A Good command of SQL query to support troubleshooting is required.

Supports evaluation of process/system discrepancies (Deviations), including proposal and ownership of associated  corrective actions.

Strong knowledge of Systems and shall serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Systems Risk Assessments.

Collaborate with other functions to identify and execute continuous improvement projects.

Knowledgeable about Manufacturing Execution Systems with integration expertise for enterprise global systems such as SAP (preferred but not mandatory). Manage MES interfaces and data connectivity between manufacturing operations and ERP systems, serving as a technical expert for MES optimization and support.

Coordinate troubleshooting activities with technical SMEs and vendor teams to resolve system related issues.

Adopt Roche’s good engineering practice documents as guidance documents when performing the work function.

Perform commissioning and qualification activities for automation systems.

Adhere to the requirements specified in ITOT Roche's quality policies/quality standards or related SOP.

Provide 24x7 support when needed to ensure production.

Comply with all RSTO’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable.

Observe all RSTO’s site security measures at all times, and report any suspicious characters/objects & damaged security mechanisms to Site Security immediately.

Lean Production System :

Embody PT Lean Production System (LPS), while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and behaviors through the use and application of LPS tools for continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are

B.S or M.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or Computer), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field equivalent degree with at least 5 years relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Good command of SQL Query skills to support troubleshooting and Good system knowledge

3-5 years of hands-on experience with the implementation, configuration, or support of a commercial MES platform (e.g., Werum PAS-X, Emerson Syncade, Rockwell PharmaSuite, or similar).

Candidates must be able to work well with others as a team member in an formal, results-oriented work environment.

Self-driven. Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written), and be able to work collaboratively with other groups at Roche.

Candidates should have a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), particularly as they relate to the operation, validation and maintenance of computer-controlled systems.

Related working experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical operating environment is preferred
