About this opportunity

Your Role:

The Segment Marketing Expert for Novel Modalities is responsible for developing and executing segment-specific marketing strategies that drive business growth, customer engagement, and market differentiation in Novel Modalities.

This role translates market trends, customer needs, competitive insights, and business priorities into clear value propositions, targeted campaigns, commercial enablement activities, and customer engagement programs. The position supports growth in Novel Modalities by identifying market opportunities, shaping segment positioning, and enabling commercial teams with relevant messaging, tools, and insights.

The Segment Marketing Expert works closely with Sales, Customer Application, MarCom, Strategy, Technical teams, R&D and regional or global stakeholders to support portfolio growth, improve customer experience, and strengthen market presence in Novel Modalities.

Key Accountabilities

Develop and implement segment marketing strategies for Novel Modalities with business objectives and growth priorities.

Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, technology evolution, regulatory dynamics, and industry developments relevant to Novel Modalities.

Define target customer groups, value propositions, messaging, positioning, and differentiation for Novel Modalities solutions.

Lead development and execution of segment marketing plans, campaigns, commercial initiatives, and customer engagement activities.

Partner with Sales to support opportunity generation, customer engagement, and pipeline development.

Create customer-facing and sales-enablement materials, including presentations, campaign content, value propositions, application stories, case studies, training materials, and competitive positioning documents.

Collaborate with MarCom to execute integrated marketing campaigns across relevant channels.

Work with technical, Customer Application, and field teams to capture voice of customer, unmet needs, workflow pain points, and market feedback.

Monitor campaign performance, customer feedback, market response, and business impact; recommend improvements based on data and insights.

Represent the voice of customer and market within internal planning, portfolio discussions, and decision-making processes.

Track key performance indicators and report progress against segment marketing goals.

Support continuous improvement of segment marketing processes, content, tools, and customer engagement models.

Who You Are:

Master’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical, or a related field.

Relevant experience in segment marketing, product marketing, commercial marketing, business development, product management, within the life science, biopharmaceutical, CDMO, or related industry.

Familiarity with Novel Modalities such as cell and gene therapy, mRNA, viral vectors, oligonucleotides, peptides, or other emerging therapeutic modalities is preferred.

Strong understanding of customer needs, market segmentation, value proposition development, positioning, and go-to-market planning.

Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns, commercial programs, launch activities, or customer engagement initiatives.

Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights and technical topics into actionable marketing strategies.

Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across functions, regions, and business teams.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance metrics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear messaging and deliver compelling presentations to technical and commercial audiences.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.

Fluency in English and Chinese
