Summary of the job:
Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a field-based physician and scientist with in-depth knowledge of related therapeutic area, who provides an expert interface between Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Medical and the external healthcare community on scientific topics. MSLs help ensuring the safe and effective use of Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine medicines through appropriate scientific dialogue.
Duties & Responsibilities
MSL's mission is to maximize the value of company products through high quality one-to-one scientific communication with Leading Specialists. MSL is responsible for achieving the short-term and long-term goals of the company, jointly with other functions, by organizing activities in line with the Medical Department Plan.
MSL is responsible for discussing our products & their trends in patient care and clinical studies in the therapeutic areas, with Leading Specialists (Physicians, Pharmacists, Board Members of Scientific Societies, etc.) and they should be perceived as "scientific experts in therapeutic area who are considered to be a reliable scientific stakeholder" by LSs. They take an active role in dissemination of up-to-date scientific data on disease and products.
As members of Medical Affairs Department, they work closely with company value teams (CVT). They contribute to the activities planned by CVTs. They work for the realization of the medical plans, which are part of the brand plans, in line with the company goals. With effective scientific interaction, they gain insights about treatment modalities and scientific activities in the relevant therapeutic area and contribute them to medical plans and decision-making mechanisms.
Maintains robust and continuous contact with opinion leaders through scientific platforms like national/international congresses and medical education activities. Coordinates with opinion leaders, associations and health authorities for developing medical education activities.
Plays an active role in product launch preparations, enhances communication with physician groups and coordinates robustly with opinion leaders / associations / health authorities for medical plan of our products and determining appropriate strategies.
Qualifications
Have a university degree in medicine (MD) or pharmacy or Dental
Good command of written and spoken English and Turkish
Absolute commitment to the highest ethical standards and accountability for individual actions
Self-starter, proactive, business-focused approach with vision to shape role
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation and teaching skills and representing J&J in a professional manner at medical, scientific, and public events.
Valid Driving License and preferably based in Ankara.
