We are looking for a Rare Disease Marketing Solutions Lead with a proven track record of providing commercial and marketing leadership to join our Rare Disease Organization based out of our office in Oakville, ON
About the role
This critical business leadership role will evaluate, build and execute best in class integrated strategic plans for a portfolio of target treatments approved for generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG). This individual will maintain a very high level of category knowledge including but not limited to product / treatment landscape, patient journey and market access to design marketing plans that will drive business goals. This role will collaborate with members of the Rare Disease cross functional team to build and lead the strategy, create programs and materials that are executed with excellence to deliver patient value and allow UCB to achieve its financial and non-financial objectives over the life of the franchise.
Who you’ll work with
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll partner with all internal stakeholders to build best in class market plans. You will partner with external stakeholders via commercial consultations to build go-to-market strategies and tactics that are clinically relevant.
What you’ll do
Set the Canadian patient and financial ambition for rare assets through deep understanding and collaboration with cross-functional partners, including sales, medical, finance, PSP, regulatory, and supply chain.
Create integrated brand and portfolio business plans that result in strategic initiatives and tactical programs that maximize the value of the brands in the marketplace.
Develop commercial execution strategies consistent with Global and Regional brand strategy for 2 products that will optimize brand and UCB’s portfolio position in the Canadian marketplace
Lead and execute a strategic KOL engagement and commercial advisory board / consult plan, generating high impact insights and incorporating these into the brand plans and commercial strategies
Guide and monitor the most impactful quantitative and qualitative performance measures, inclusive of financial, market, and operational execution to ensure delivery on the plans.
Analyze and integrate market data to derive insights that drive the development of strategic plans
Champion customer excellence through all channels and create high quality, high impact, individualized omnichannel plans to drive growth.
Lead a marketing vision for digital care transformations and pilots or projects that would create health system change for patients.
Manage OPEX budget associated with program development and execution.
Provide leadership to develop the next generation of leaders at UCB.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in health sciences, business or related field is required.
Minimum 10+ years in pharmaceutical industry, with track record of progressive experience
Minimum 5+ years biopharma product leadership and launch experience on complex, Rare Disease products required.
Leadership experience in specialty / biologic commercial strategy and execution
Deep understanding of market access environment for specialty/biologic or rare (preferred)
Product launch experience required.
Specialty sales experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven ability to drive results and act with a sense of urgency and accountability, are essential. We are seeking a proactive leader who inspires teams and delivers outcomes efficiently and effectively.
Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset; Experience in Neurology and/or Rare Disease preferred.
Travel is required (15-20%) – Congress, Advisory Board Meetings, Territory and Stakeholder field visits.
