The Manager, US Corporate Events, plays a key role in designing and delivering events that showcase BioNTech’s innovations, culture, and strategic priorities. The role is responsible for end-to-end event management of US-based internal and external events, including concept development, venue and vendor selection and management, logistics coordination, stakeholder and speaker support, and on-site execution, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will contribute to creating memorable, mission-driven experiences that strengthen internal engagement, support corporate reputation, and position BioNTech as an emerging oncology leader in the US.
This role reports to the Head of US Communications with a functional dotted line to the AD Global Corporate Events in Germany, ensuring close alignment with Global event strategy, standards and best practices.
Your contribution
• Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events in the US ranging from town halls and annual celebrations to high-profile internal and external events.
• Create new event concepts and formats that align with strategic communications objectives and corporate priorities and bring fresh ideas to recurring events.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, and agency partners to ensure seamless and cost-effective delivery.
• Coordinate event logistics, including technical set-up and Run of Show.
• Help brief and support executives, speakers, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth and impactful event.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Medical Affairs, Commercial, HR, IT, and R&D teams to ensure cohesive content and consistent brand alignment.
• Oversee on-site execution, ensuring a positive attendee experience.
• Maintain calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly as they arise.
• Measure event outcomes, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice development.
A good match
• 5 plus years of proven experience as an Event Manager in a corporate environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative team player with strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
• Creative and strategic mindset, with a passion for designing memorable, high-quality event experiences and an understanding of how events support brand visibility, engagement, and business objectives.
• Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability and the ability to work autonomously.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Technical and business proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Willingness to travel up to 6 times per year.
Preferred qualifications; Pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare company experience, proficiency in German. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Veeva Events, SpotMe/Omoni is an advantage
US based candidates expected Pay Range: $115,100 - $140,000/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
