About the role:
As a Local Case Intake Advisor, you will manage the intake and processing of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) at a local level, supporting designated AstraZeneca Marketing Companies.
Acting as a key liaison between local teams and Global Patient Safety, you’ll ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality pharmacovigilance operations.
What you’ll do:
Manage and process adverse event reports and ICSRs from post-marketed sources
Support Health Authority interactions and queries related to safety cases
Review, assess, and distribute safety data in line with regulatory requirements and SOPs
Contribute to Quality Management Systems, including audit readiness and compliance activities
Support pharmacovigilance activities across organised data collection programs, digital channels, and partnerships
Identify and manage product quality complaints (PQC) and related safety reporting
Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of pharmacovigilance data
Conduct literature searches and regulatory database screening where required
Collaborate closely with local Patient Safety teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Provide expertise and guidance to resolve local case intake issues
Essential skills & experience:
Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or Life Sciences
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance (PV) and health authority regulations
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies
Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage moderate complexity
Desirable:
Experience in audits and inspections
Knowledge of AstraZeneca therapeutic areas
Project management experience
Familiarity with safety systems (e.g. Argus)
Additional language skills
