Key responsibilities for this role include:

Verify quantities shipped or received to packing lists and purchase orders.

Deliver and receive incoming packages to specified locations.

Call trucking companies to schedule pickups.

Prepare and ship outgoing United Parcel Service (UPS) packages for shipment.

Maintain and generate Daily Shipping/Receiving Log on computer.

Package finished product for shipment.

Handle return shipments to suppliers.

Dispose of hazardous waste and maintain related documentation.

Load raw material or finished product on skid or hand truck.

Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.

Order material needed in Shipping Department.

Verify quantities of materials shipped to and from Plants.

Perform physical inventories and labeling.

May serve as substitute Truck Driver if licensed.

Maintain hand trucks and forklifts if licensed.

Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard and strapping and places in proper containers or in designated areas.

Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

Class A CDL required

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. A High School diploma (or equivalent) is required; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Must possess knowledge of a forklift, pallet jack, shrink wrap bundler, boxes, tape and cardboard packaging material.

Must possess good communication, time management and organizational skills. Must possess competent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.

Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.  Ability to stoop, climb ladders, or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time. Requires long periods of standing; intermittent stooping and bending.

The position schedule will be 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., either Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday. The role includes 8 hours of Premium Pay, with employees receiving 4 additional hours of pay for every 36 hours worked.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.   The salary range for this position is $37,000 - $80,000 USD.
