We are looking for a Korea External Engagement Lead to join us in our Access, Sustainability and External Engagement team, based in Seoul, Korea.
About the role
Policy & Regulatory Monitoring and Providing strategic policy insights and recommendations to leadership.
Government Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulatory authorities, serve as the primary point of contact and represent the company in policy discussion.
Public policy & advocacy strategy: Develop and execute government affairs and advocacy strategies aligned with corporate objectives, and collaborate with industry associations to advance common policy priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement, Market Access & Patient Access Support, Cross-functional leadership.
What you’ll do
Government partnership
Monitor legislative, regulatory, and healthcare policy developments, and assess the potential impact of policy changes on the organization, products, and patients.
Provide strategic policy insights and recommendations to leadership and develop and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulatory authorities, and healthcare agencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and government stakeholders.
Partner with Market Access teams to create a favorable policy environment for product launches and lifecycle management.
Patient & Patien Advocay Engagement
Creat and lead communication and patient-centric initiatives to improve awareness, education, and patient access and shape a supportive environment for their benefit.
Establish and strengthen partnerships with patient advocacy organizations to understand and address unmet patient needs.
Lead and collaborate closely with medical and commercial teams to ensure UCB’s patient engagement efforts align with clinical and market access goals.
Corporate and brand communications
Build trust and transparency with the media and leverage UCB ’s reputation as a credible, patient centric thought leader that makes meaningful contributions to patients, providers, health systems and society.
Lead c ommunication plan and strategies for commercial branding and reputation management as well as change, crisis and issues management and consultancy.
Lead brand related disease awareness campaign to promote awareness or educating the public, and increase accessibility to proper treatment at the right time
Internal Communications
Develop and lead a national communication strategy and projects to enhance employee engagement with our vision and business priorities.
Oversee internal communications by collaborating with and supporting cross-functional teams. Ensure timely and professional dissemination of business priorities, key initiatives, and employee engagement efforts.
Strategically and effectively manage internal communication channels to improve employee engagement.

In-depth knowledge and expertise of the South Korean healthcare and policy environment.

Highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders .
I nterested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in MNC pharmaceutical company
More than 5 years’ experience in communications, PAG and GA.
Proven success in communications and patient engagement, particularly treatments.
Specific skills
Strong interpersonal & Good communication skill
Strategic focus
Knowledge of relevant legislation, relevant professional standards and best practices
Understanding of medical background and Clinical Trial Data analysis & evaluation
Excellent English in speaking and writing
Fluent in Korean
