Job Description:
Key Account Managers, Oncology – Eastern & Western Hungary
At Ipsen, we dare to reimagine what is possible for patients. As a global biopharmaceutical company focused on transformative medicines, we are driven by innovation, collaboration and a commitment to improving lives.
We are looking for two experienced Key Account Managers to join our Oncology team in Hungary – one for the East of the country (Budapest, Debrecen, Miskolc or Szeged) and one for the West (Budapest, Győr, Pécs, Székesfehérvár or Veszprém).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing patient access to innovative oncology treatments while building trusted partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem.
The Opportunity
As a Key Account Manager, you will lead strategic engagement with oncology stakeholders, develop and execute account plans, and drive sustainable growth across your territory. Working cross-functionally with Medical, Market Access, Marketing and Commercial colleagues, you will help shape customer solutions that create value for patients and healthcare professionals.
Summary & Purpose of the Position
• Manage and develop strategic oncology accounts within an assigned Hungarian territory, with clear ownership of either Eastern Hungary or Western Hungary.
• Strengthen customer-facing oncology presence, improve focus, and ensure consistent coverage of key treatment centers and priority accounts.
• Build trusted, compliant relationships with oncology stakeholders, key opinion leaders, hospital decision-makers and relevant healthcare professionals.
• Execute account plans independently and collaborate cross-functionally with medical, market access, marketing and leadership teams.
Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
• Deliver territory objectives and agreed activity targets through high-quality engagement with priority oncology accounts and treatment centers.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans based on local account dynamics, treatment pathways, stakeholder priorities and business needs.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the Hungarian oncology landscape, including assigned regional centers and key stakeholders.
• Use existing oncology relationships and field insights to identify opportunities, remove barriers and strengthen account-level execution.
• Work in full compliance with applicable laws, industry codes, internal policies and company procedures.
• Collaborate proactively with medical, market access, marketing, business excellence and leadership teams to ensure aligned execution.
• Provide relevant field insights to support business planning, customer engagement priorities and continuous improvement of account strategy.
Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge & Experience (essential):
• Proven oncology experience in a commercial field-based role, ideally as a Key Account Manager, hospital representative or equivalent.
• Existing and active relationships with oncology stakeholders, key treatment centers, KOLs and relevant healthcare professionals in Hungary.
• Strong understanding of hospital account management, oncology stakeholder dynamics and treatment-center decision-making processes.
• Ability to manage strategic accounts independently, translate priorities into account-level execution and operate with limited ramp-up time.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with high professionalism and ethical standards.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with medical, market access, marketing and leadership teams.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Knowledge & Experience (preferred):
• Experience in renal cancer/renal cell carcinoma.
• Previous experience with specialty care, targeted therapies or complex hospital-based treatments.
• Strong network in key oncology centers in either Eastern Hungary or Western Hungary.
Education / Certifications (essential):
• University degree in life sciences, healthcare, business or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
Language(s) (essential):
• Hungarian (and English is huge advantage)

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
