IT Responsible (Hjørring, North Denmark Region, DK)
About this opportunity
IT Responsible
Location: Hjørring, Denmark
Contract: Temporary, 12 months
Are you motivated by working at the intersection of IT, OT and pharmaceutical production?
Do you enjoy solving technical challenges in a highly regulated environment where reliable IT systems are critical to daily manufacturing operations?
Are you looking for an opportunity to work closely with experienced IT and OT colleagues while developing your knowledge of production IT?
If so, you could be our new IT Responsible in Hjørring.
The position
As our IT Responsible, you will join a team responsible for supporting the computerised systems and equipment that enable our production environment to operate reliably and in compliance with GMP requirements.
You will work closely with Production and experienced IT and OT colleagues, supporting existing production systems as well as contributing to projects involving new and existing IT solutions.
As this is a 12-month temporary position, we recognise that becoming fully trained as an IT Responsible within Novo Nordisk takes time. You will therefore work alongside experienced colleagues while building your knowledge of our systems, processes and requirements.
From the beginning, however, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution through your existing IT or OT experience.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Providing hands on IT support to our production environment and supporting the resolution of IT related incidents and system issues
Troubleshooting computerised production systems and helping ensure reliable system availability
Supporting projects involving the implementation and development of IT systems and solutions within production
Contributing to system upgrades, implementations and change control activities
Supporting Computer System Validation (CSV) activities within a GMP-regulated environment
Supporting patching, data integrity and lifecycle management activities for computerised systems and equipment
Working closely with experienced IT Responsibles, OT colleagues, Production and Quality to ensure systems remain compliant and fit for purpose
Contributing to deviations and other quality-related activities associated with computerised systems
Once appropriately trained, the position will also form part of the team's on-call rotation, currently expected to be approximately one week in every eight.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
A bachelor's or master's degree within IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Automation or another relevant technical or scientific discipline
Experience working with IT and/or OT systems, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment
Experience with or knowledge of SCADA systems and server environments
Exposure to PLC and HMI environments would be advantageous
Experience working with computerised systems in a regulated environment
Knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV), system lifecycle management and/or change control processes
An understanding of GMP/GxP and data integrity principles, or experience from another highly regulated manufacturing environment
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
Previous pharmaceutical experience is advantageous but is not essential. We are also interested in candidates from other regulated industries, including biotechnology, medical devices and food manufacturing, where you have gained relevant experience working with controlled systems and processes.
You do not need to have previously held the title of IT Responsible. We are interested in candidates with the right technical foundation and mindset who are motivated to develop their knowledge within our production IT environment.
About you
You are hands on and enjoy getting close to the systems and operations you support. You approach technical problems in a structured way and remain calm when issues need to be resolved in a production environment.
You take proactive ownership of your work, are comfortable challenging when necessary and can adapt as priorities and requirements change. You are able to work independently while also recognising when collaboration with experienced colleagues, Production, Quality or other technical specialists is needed.
Most importantly, you have an interest in working within a highly regulated environment where IT reliability, quality and compliance directly support pharmaceutical manufacturing.
About the department
You will join a technically diverse organisation in Hjørring comprising experienced IT and OT professionals who work closely with our production areas.
The team includes IT Responsibles and OT Engineers with experience ranging from relatively new colleagues through to highly experienced specialists. This provides a strong environment for knowledge sharing and professional development.
