About the role:

This role will lead Project Management Office of China IT organization. It oversees and manages progress across the full life cycle of China Digital & IT projects and is responsible for the project delivery in scope/time/budget. This includes the management of:

project initiation

setup of IT project governance

budget planning

controlling

resources

stakeholders

risks & issues

reporting and communication lines

Typical IT projects may include but not limited to below areas:

SAP S/4 HANA, MES, LIMS, WMS solutions, Printing Solution, Quality Management, Veeva solutions, HR solutions, Finance solutions, Enterprise Reporting, IT infrastructure, Cyber Security, BPM/OA solutions, sourcing/procurement solutions, Interface and integration between enterprise IT systems.

Your contribution:

Cross-functional planning, coordination, and monitoring of multiple complex projects ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization and resource allocation across initiatives

Build, maintain, and manage high performing project teams

Drive multiple interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic objectives

Establish and ensure efficient communication structures among internal and external project stakeholders and ensure information and content flow between interdisciplinary teams

Contribution to content work and hands-on support of Subject Matter Experts in individual work packages and specific areas

Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution, driving mitigation strategies, and escalating critical topics to senior leadership where necessary Reporting project status to boards / steering committee/ global stakeholders

Update and report on the global portfolio management and act as interface to global stakeholders, ensuring transparency on overall status and progress across global organization

Take ownership of budget planning and requests for project execution, including tracking and managing financials, forecasting throughout execution

Drive and enforce the adoption of global project management standards and governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance, and high-quality delivery across all initiatives

A good match:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Minimum of eight years of related work experience

Experience implementing an ERP system, SAP preferred

Highly experienced project management professional with rich experience leading large scale IT projects in a matrixed organization and strong global best practices such as Prince2 or PMP standards,

Very fluent English speaker

Preferred Qualifications

Proven ability to apply project and portfolio management methodologies, tools, and processes

Pharmaceutical Industry working experience with deep understanding of CSV and GxP regulations

Ability to establish and promote an effective project governance structure, incl. efficient stakeholder management and good facilitation skills

Excellent communication skills, 1:1, and in larger groups. Should be able to distinguish relevant from non-relevant information and communicate in a concise manner that is both informative and thorough, incl. to senior management

Strong sense of accountability both for project deliverables as well as for all project team members

Detail-oriented, closely involved in project work and willing to understand all project activities at all times

Strong ability to prioritize project tasks and resources

Experience in applying both waterfall methodology and Agile Frameworks in projects

Demonstrated ability to lead change management efforts

Able to deliver results in ambiguous situations with quality and value

Vendor relationship, procurement and contract management experience

Experience leading the implementation of a LARGE SAP ERP system

Experience managing a budget of $5 M +
