Your Role: The Executive Director of Global Strategic Insights for Rare Tumors will partner with the Global Brand teams to proactively identify needs/opportunities to inform brand strategy and collaborate with Global Strategic Insights (GSI) and Commercial Excellence to pull through the following primary market research: global strategy, positioning, messaging, and campaigns; secondary market data analytics: market and brand dynamics competitive intelligence; above-market competitor activities (e.g., trials / data/ conferences), internal communication of key competitive insights to leadership, the global team, and relevant regional/country partners, key business questions and other critical market intelligence needs, competitive workshopping, global scientific meeting coverage; Forecasting local ex-US forecasting efforts (support, consolidation), long-range forecast/strategic plan. The individual will also drive and consolidate brand analytics and development of global dashboards to convey brand performance, KPI achievement, and other market performance indicators and will support planning and preparation for internal governance committee meetings. Additional responsibilities Include:
Monitor above-market competitor activities (e.g., trials /data/ conferences) and share with key leaders
Generate market research that informs brand strategy and long-term financial plan
Shape competitive positioning strategies in alignment with Global Brand Leaders
Communicate key competitive insights in a clear and timely way to leadership, the global team, and relevant regional/country partners
Actively engage with Global Brand Teams to align on key business questions and other critical market intelligence needs
Drive competitive monitoring and intelligence at global scientific meetings
Demonstrate disease area and market knowledge and develop strong relationships with key customers
Manage and strategically allocate annual budget
Provide put into long-range revenue forecasts
Innovative mindset to do things creatively and differently
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (business or related disciplines)
10+ years of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology commercial experience; 8 years with a Master’s degree; or 6 years with a PhD
Minimum of 5+ years related experience in leadership roles in global marketing, market research, and/or competitive intelligence
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA preferred or Advanced Degree
Oncology and/or rare disease experience preferred
Knowledge of US and ex-US regulatory landscape and requirements
Experience in supporting business development activities and managing commercial partnerships and/or co- promotions is desired
Brand planning
Launch and tactical planning
Strong track record of influencing key stakeholders and leadership with and without authority
Track record of strong cross functional collaboration
Clear and inspiring communicator able to engage, influence and navigate cross-functional stakeholders
Track record of high-energy, impactful presentations
Demonstrated success in rapid-growth, fast-paced, and start-up environment
Strong sense of urgency and ability to organize, prioritize, activate and execute
Team player and strong track record of collaboration
Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors effectively and clearly in a remote hybrid work environment
Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stay driven by business need
This position must be able to work East Coast hours.
Pay Range for this position: $ 243,600 - $ 365,400
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
