With late-stage development programs and anticipated launches, Global Pharma is well positioned to drive future growth and meaningful patient impact.

Within Global Pharma team, it’s an exciting time as we build an industry-leading cardiometabolic & Neuroscience business that aspires to impact these devastating diseases on a global scale. Our company has made significant progress with advancing our cardiometabolic and rare disease pipeline this year. Moreover, we expect 8 approvals in the next five years across our broad and exciting portfolio.

The Executive Director, Global Commercial Leader, Cardiometabolic will lead three key pipeline products within our company’s expanding cardiometabolic portfolio, with a focus on MASH, obesity & inflammation. These assets have the potential to become best-in-class products and generate blockbuster revenue. In addition, the team will continue to manage inline diabetes brands and our alliance with Bayer.

The Global Commercial Leader will play an important role in supporting the commercial transformation and leadership of our launches, pipeline including new ways of working, embedding advanced analytics, evolving the commercial models and building value for patients, payers and HCP. This role will also support the commercial leadership in our Business Development efforts to help support growth and leadership in this space.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Portfolio Strategy: Oversee the realization of the vision and enterprise strategy for our broad Cardiometabolic, Obesity, MASH, and Inflammation portfolios, while ensuring continued optimization of our legacy inline Diabetes brands.

Alliance Management: Lead the commercial stewardship and joint governance of our highly complex strategic alliance with Bayer.

R&D Partnership: Provide commercial leadership and partner with our Research and Development (R&D) division to optimize product development team (PDT) global brand strategies, development plans, and late-stage/Phase 3 launch readiness.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead the Global Commercial team and ensure the integration of marketing, policy, GMAx, Clinical, and V&I in the development of an integrated brand strategy. Collaborate with key markets and other stakeholders to ensure a unified strategy covering value evidence, rapid and broad access, launch readiness, and a customer-centric commercial model.

Business Development: Support development efforts with R&D and Corporate Business Development. Collaborate with the Business Development Team to identify growth opportunities and evaluate targets in the CV/Metabolic and Inflammation spaces.

Early Asset Commercialization: Work closely with Early Development Commercial Leads to ensure commercial insights within the metabolic and inflammation spaces are incorporated.

AI, Digital & Analytics Innovation: Drive forward AI & digital innovation, focusing on strategy development, optimization of analytics, and tactic development through the commercial team and key markets to support consistent execution at the local country level.

Access & Policy: Engage the access and policy teams to identify relevant policy levers to support portfolio access.

Supply Chain Alignment: Maintain a strong level of collaboration with our Manufacturing colleagues to inform short-term and long-term supply chain decisions for a rapidly growing pipeline.

Value Evidence: Partner with the Value and Implementation team to ensure the real-world evidence plan is fully aligned with pipeline and portfolio priorities.

Team & Culture Building: Partner with Global Marketing colleagues to invest in each other’s development, build a culture of inclusivity, and stretch our collective team’s thinking by challenging the status quo to create stronger outcomes during this period of massive organizational growth.

Education Minimum Requirement: 

Bachelor's Degree required

Advanced Degree (MBA) preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

Minimum of 10 years combined marketing, sales, market access, or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries including Obesity, Metabolism, Cardiovascular and payer experience.

Launch and pipeline strategy experience is preferred

Leadership and Impact: Proven track record of high-performance launches and driving business results.

Innovative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to leverage innovation to drive results

Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams including R&D and manufacturing, and value & implementation.

Communication: Ability to clearly articulate messages/information across the enterprise and to all levels, including highest levels of senior leadership

Understanding of Drug Development Process (Early and Late Stage)

Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to manage complex data, insights and create clear patient and customer centric strategies

Challenging Status Quo:  Ability to push past internal obstacles to drive initiatives forward

The salary range for this role is

$255,800.00 - $402,700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
